Headed to the Ranch

Irvine Ranch Market has a butchery that provides a great selection of beef, chicken and pork cuts. Their customer service is always superb. Also, you must try the fresh-baked sweets as soon as you walk in.

Roll With It

Sankai Japanese Restaurant has a fresh selection of sushi that is moderately priced. You can see the pride that their sushi chefs have in each cut and by how fresh their fish is. The service staff is also very friendly and personable. I enjoy their salmon skin hand roll and anything nigiri.

On the Water Daniel Cherri

Exploring Newport Beach Harbor on a Duffy boat is a great way to feel like you’re on vacation—if just for a few hours. I like to pack a cooler of charcuterie, veggies and dip and boat-friendly beverages, or I’ll plan a quick pit stop at a dockside bar or restaurant. Make a yacht rock playlist on your phone to hook up to the boat!

Curry Craving Daniel Cherri

I crave curry often, and Masala Craft has some of the most comforting curry. The owners and staff are friendly and make you feel right at home. The butter chicken (chicken tandoori in a tomato cream sauce with fenugreek) fights their curry for my top pick on the menu.

Sharing Is Caring

I am a big shareable type of eater. I enjoy being able to get multiple items at Din Tai Fung and enjoy all they have to offer. They are known for their Xiao Long Bao, which melts in your mouth. I also enjoy their Kurobuta pork buns and sticky rice wraps.
