With over 42 miles of gorgeous coastline, Orange County is the perfect location to drink, eat and play outdoors whenever possible. The Bluewater Grill in the Cannery Village on the Lido Peninsula is one of the best spots in town to do just that. This charming restaurant offers an enormous, deliciously detailed menu and can boast that it possesses true waterfront dining. It’s known for it’s amazing seafood and homemade chowders, which seems only fitting with a location right on the water. It’s the perfect spot to truly appreciate the beauty of the area and taste some of the freshest fish around.

Las Brisas

Overlooking the Pacific Ocean and the Laguna Beach coastline, the patio at Las Brisas would be a must visit destination even if it wasn’t serving great food. Located adjacent to the Laguna Beach Art Museum, Las Brisas prides itself on outstanding Mexi-Cali flair that they have been serving up since its conversion in 1979. The restaurant, however, has been there since 1938 when it was the Victor Hugo Inn. It’s not only a staple of the community but to visitors alike and one look at the incredible views and you’ll understand why. They are truly breathtaking so when you do plan on heading there make sure you sit out on the patio, no matter what the wait may be. The patio has its own menu, which features lighter dishes and strong cocktails, which is always a plus. Brunch is available daily, but go on Sunday, when brunch includes four-courses and endless champagne with forever views.

Native knowledge: Snuggle with your honey in the gazebo just yards away before heading home.

Habana

Venturing a bit away from the beach scene and into Costa Mesa is one of our favorite spots to dine at for the food and the amazing atmosphere. Habana is located at what is known to the locals as “the lab, ” which is a uber hipster mini mall that has all you need for a day of shopping and good outdoor eats. The restaurant features a Cuban-inspired menu and many handcrafted, refreshing drinks to choose from. The only that enhances this experience is their beautiful patio, laced with outdoor string lights, candles, and plants. With a mojito in your hand, take a second to forget where you are and get lost in the beauty of the scene and the aroma of your arriving meal.

Woody’s Wharf

Established in 1965, Woody’s Wharf is a staple in Newport Beach with a long line of amazing history. The property was originally owned by a longtime, local fisherman named Woody Payne. He used the property to fix and store boats before coming up with the idea to open a local eatery. His intent was a place where fisherman could dine, drink and share old tales, but it quickly became much more than that. Today, Woody’s is owned by four friends and is one of the best dining spots in the area. Its outdoor patio is located right on the harbor, where Woody himself used to catch their fresh fare and makes for the perfect atmosphere for any meal. Come check out their amazing brunch menu on the weekends and dine outside with old friends and all the locals of NB.
