Sometimes people think I’m joking when I tell them I ran out of Knott’s Scary Farm within 30 minutes—true story, just ask my best friend. If you want to avoid running out of a scary maze gasping for breath like myself, I suggest these non-spooky October events instead! October Events Los Angeles See Life a Different Way My Greatest and Most Enjoyable Interests: Opening Reception When: Saturday, Oct. 6 from 2-8 p.m. Created by Christopher Cook, a deaf and blind visual artist, this solo exhibition will display his prolific perception of the world around him through his memory and imagination. Using clay, paper mache and found objects to create his art, he’s turned the world into something that he and visitors can feel during his first exhibition that was produced by Alexa Meade, Lilia George, Laura Peters and David Shook. The exhibit will be open Saturdays and Sundays from noon-6 p.m., by appointment through Oct. 20 and can be scheduled by emailing thelaurapeters@gmail.com.
