Make your way down to the bustling East Village Night Market for a diverse selection of food and goods from local artisans, makers and small businesses. Mark your calendars because this neighborhood open-air market is only open two Thursdays per month from May through September. Locals and visitors come to this thriving outdoor market as an affordable, family-friendly way to enjoy a night out. The Night Market opens at 5 p.m. and spans along 13th St from F St to Island Ave.

2 | Meet Ya at the Drive-In

Enjoy this year’s movie series from your car or at Fault Line Park. East Village is hosting drive-in movies as well as movies in the park! Watch a film on the big screen from the comfort of your own vehicle, and be sure to snag some tasty bites from City Tacos or CrunchTime Popcorn and Ice Cream. If you want to attend movies in the park, you and your crew will be provided a sanitized tarp to sit on to keep damp grass from soaking through. Bring blankets to stay cozy!

 

3 | Take Me Out to the Ballgame

Things are heating up this MLB season, and Petco Park is the perfect place to grab a bite and catch a Padres home game. Root for the Padres and don’t miss East Village Bites & Brews—a fun-filled day of food and drinks—on Saturday, June 5 from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. The tasting ticket for this festive event costs $25 and will be available for pick up at the East Village Association booth the day of the event. Participating restaurants will each showcase a unique, delicious food and beverage pairing. This exciting event is perfect for foodies and hop-heads, as it will highlight some of the city’s best restaurants and craft breweries.
