Their onsite restaurant, Avant, is all about fresh, seasonal California cuisine and the impeccable wine that can be found locally. The restaurant has an open-air floor plan and plenty of places to dine outside as well. You’ll be enjoying lovely views of the garden and golf course while you sip on some amazing wine that was pulled right from their own working wine room. It doesn’t get any fresher than that when it comes to a great glass of vino. For those chilly evenings grab a seat by the fireplace and snuggle up to your date for a truly romantic evening out. Make sure you also order something off of the menu that you can put mustard on because they are the only restaurant in the country that has house-made mustard on tap. Strangely genius, we know.

Veranda Fireside Lounge & Restaurant

The Veranda is the perfect place to dine at the resort any time of the day or night since they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Mediterranean coastline was the inspiration for this amazing restaurant, and this comes through in both the ambiance and cuisine. The food served here has all the flavors that we love about Mediterranean fare with an elevated California twist in all that they do. The menu changes seasonally to ensure that everything is fresh and often sourced from local businesses in the area. If you’re joining them at night make sure to grab a seat outside around the fire pit and enjoy some star gazing along with your meal. You can catch some live local music here, which is always a plus, and they have a new “daily delight” that you need to be sure to ask your server about.

Café Granada

The resorts café is located right off of the lobby and the perfect place to keep in mind when you’re in need of a quick bite to eat or a delicious cup of coffee. This cozy spot makes fresh pastries daily, fresh salads or tasty sandwiches for food on the go. Stop by in the morning and grab a little fuel to get you through a day of exploring beautiful San Diego or a quick cup of coffee before heading off to the resort’s luxurious spa.

San Diego Spa

One of the best things you can do on vacation is treat yourself to a day at the spa. It’s not every day that you get to lay down, relax and be pampered; especially with the five-star treatments you’ll experience at this resort’s spa. At this spa they use some delicious, fresh food ingredients to cleanse your body, nourish your skin and leave you feeling and looking your best. They use things like avocado, strawberries, yogurt and honey in their different packages, and you’ll quickly see why this is so important. If the scents of these ingredients leave you feeling a little hungry, don’t worry, the spa has it’s own menu of tasty treats to enjoy while you’re there. You’ll also have access to the pool, located right outside the spa’s doors, steam rooms, fitness center and Jacuzzi. It’s the perfect day to focus on the most important person in your life, you.

The Spa Pool

The pool outside of the resort’s amazing spa is the perfect place to continue your relaxing day after spending some time being pampered. Just a heads up, this pool is just for guests of the spa, which is just one more reason a visit there is a must. For ultimate relaxation book a cabana for the day where you can order some food and drinks to enjoy privately or with a friend. You’ll be feeling like a million dollars after a day spent by the pool and a few glasses of vino.

San Diego Championship Golf Course

Not only does the resort have a golf course right on-site, but it’s one of the best to play at in all of San Diego. This 18-hole course is run by JC Golf Management, one of San Diego’s top golf course companies, and that is no surprise once you step out on the green. Players all of all kinds of levels will enjoy an amazing day outside, making their way through the course and enjoying the beautiful scenery all around. The course has hosted both PGA and LPGA tournaments so you’ll be playing like a pro and challenging your golf game throughout your stay. You can even take a lesson with a golf pro and leave with a few new tricks in your pocket to bring back to your home course.
