Monday: My Monday’s are definitely happier when I eat at Happy Veggie. Although I am not vegan, when I finish a meal at Happy Veggie, especially the Lemon Grass Chicken, I am completely satisfied.

Tuesday: On Tuesdays, after hours of baking bread and pastries, I head over to my favorite Indian restaurant, Addi’s Tandoor. Saag Paneer is my favorite dish. It’s made with homemade cottage cheese and sauteed with spinach and spices. I can’t get enough!

Wednesday: Wednesday is a great day to visit Big Mike’s Philly Steaks & Subs to find an authentic Philly cheesesteak right here in Redondo Beach. I’m taken back to my college days on the East Coast. It’s such a trip!

Thursday: I sneak out of my store after the first round of baking and head to Phanny’s for a Stumptown Coffee Cold Brew and a ham and egg burrito. Since it’s so close to the beach, I’ll usually walk down, looking out at the water knowing that my home country of Japan is on the other side.

Friday: Fridays are the perfect nights for me and my friends to head over for omakase sushi at Sushi Chitose. Of course, the meal is accompanied by a frosty cold Sapporo, and finished off with some soju on the rocks.

Saturday: I head over to Dominique’s Kitchen with my lovely wife, Trish. Some of the most enjoyable meals we’ve had there are at the bar. We sit and chat about our dogs, while consuming amazing authentic French cuisine.

Sunday: I love taking a long walk on the Redondo Beach Pier. Even though I have to get up the next day at 3 a.m., I still find that it’s worth it to stop into R10 Social House at the end of my walk for some wings and an IPA.
