1 | Roller Girl Paradise

Moxi Roller Skate Shop

The Moxi Roller Skate Shop in Venice Beach is the new headquarters for everything to do with roller skating in LA. On top of being right next to the boardwalk, the shop has free workshops and events which provide easy guidance for anyone. Serious roller girl paradise right here! Skates for the whole family as well.

2 | Another Kind of Super Bowl

Venice Skate Park

The Venice Skate Park is one of my all-time favorite concrete playgrounds. The transitions in the bowls are super smooth, perfect for the brave roller skater! My goal is to drop into the deep end by summer time.

3 | The Wheel Deal

Venice Roller Dance Circle

I skate-dance with roller skaters from all backgrounds at the world famous Venice Roller Dance Circle. It is located down at “skate plaza” next to the skate park. It’s very popular on Sunday afternoons. So many unique moves on eight wheels.

4 | She’s Got Moxi

Waterfront Cafe

I love meeting up with my friends to go for a long skate (aka “roll out”) along the boardwalk and finish with brunch at the Waterfront Cafe. The food is delicious, the vibe is lovely and it’s right on the Venice Beach Boardwalk!

5 | Nama-Stay for a While

Studio Surya Yoga

There is no exception to the rule—everyone can benefit from stretching of some sort. Studio Surya Yoga is where I get down.

6 | Roll With It

Venice Electric Light Parade

Before heading home on Sundays, I try to catch the Venice Electric Light Parade at sunset which consists of hundreds of bicyclists all in lights. They meet up at Windward Plaza, skate plaza and skate shop! From there, we all “roll out” in one huge group.

7 | A Little Sweet, a Little Salty

Salt & Straw

Finish off the day with my favorite new ice cream spot on Abbot Kinney Blvd…Salt & Straw! They have odd flavors that I love like olive and goat cheese! Vegan options as well!
