Mark Your Calendars! Here’s What’s in Store This Month

There is something about the month of March that puts a little pep in our step. Maybe it’s because there’s a day dedicated to wearing green and drinking beer, or maybe it’s the exciting anticipation of daylight saving time. Whatever it may be, March is no doubt better than the two months that come before it (sorry January and February). Here is everything we’re doing this March in San Diego—from what we’re eating and drinking to what we’re celebrating and where we’re going. San Diego Activities March

What We’re Eating🍴 San Diego Activities March

March 20 marks the first official day of spring, signaling the start of longer days and warmer evenings. One of our favorite ways to welcome this sunny season is by firing up the grill! Whether it’s preparing a tasty rack of ribs or grilling up some juicy burgers, there is no better way to swing into spring. Ranch 45 in Solana Beach houses an on-site butcher shop with a selection of premium Brandt Beef products, fresh fish and poultry. Place your order online and make that backyard BBQ happen!

What We’re Celebrating 🎉 San Diego Activities March

Not only will we be sporting green on March 17 to celebrate St. Patty’s Day this month, but we will also be celebrating women! That’s right—March 8 is International Women’s Day, and as Beyoncé once said, “Who run the world? GIRLS.” But on a serious note, we will absolutely be showing our lady-owned local businesses some love this month. Here are 5 female-run shops in Del Mar we can’t get enough of.

Where We’re Shopping 🛍

It’s time to put those sweaters away and upgrade that spring wardrobe! This month we’re heading to One Paseo in Del Mar for some retail therapy. With stores like SHOP/GOOD, Whiskey + Leather, Faherty and Roark, you’re sure to discover some fashionable finds.

How We’re Sweating 🏋️‍♀️

When the sun’s out, we love a good hike (especially if it’s followed by lunch). These San Diego hikes are the breath of fresh air you need after a long winter in quarantine.

Where We’re Going 🛥️ San Diego Activities March

Raise your hand if you need to get out of San Diego. Don’t get us wrong, there is a lot to love about where we live, but we could use a little getaway. Luckily, as of a few weeks ago, Catalina Island is welcoming visitors back. Parasailing, ziplining, snorkeling and dining on the sand await! Click here to get the deets on how to plan your next Catalina adventure.

What We’re Watching 📺

The 25th season of “The Bachelor” premiered on Jan. 4 of this year, and we’ve been glued to our TVs ever since. The roses are flying, the tears are flowing and our glass of wine is never empty on Monday nights. To catch all the drama, tune into ABC at 8 p.m.

What We’re Looking Forward To 🔮

With a grand opening set for early May, Del Mar Highlands Town Center’s imaginative Sky Deck project is set to feature nine full-service restaurants, and we can’t wait to see it for ourselves! This 20,000-square-foot, two-level culinary project was inspired by Barcelona’s El Nacional—a unique collective featuring numerous restaurants and bars all under one roof.
