For fitness lovers and newbies alike who want to work out in a seriously gorgeous environment, AquaVie Fitness + Wellness Club will make those tri-weekly training sessions something to look forward to. Spread across four floors, the sleek downtown space boasts a rooftop pool, first-class instructors and luxury changing rooms. Gym equipment is top-of-the-line, the decor modern-chic, and towels extra-fluffy. Did we mention the full-service luxury spa and daily group exercise classes?

Members enjoy exclusive key card access to the reception lobby—either via The Westgate Hotel courtyard or Broadway—which also doubles as a retail space for apparel and accessories. With two dedicated weight studios located here, level one is where the hard work happens. Kitted out with IRONGRIP free weights and Technogym plate-loaded, strength-training machines respectively, each room gives members a discreet space (with just the right number of mirrors) to perfect those deadlifts, squats and chest flyes, either solo or with guidance from one of AquaVie’s six in-house personal trainers.
Native Knowledge: Members can avoid the crowds and get their workouts in during quieter times. These usually run mid-morning between 9:30-11:30 a.m., and again in the evening around 7:30-8:30 p.m.

Follow the impressive three-story waterfall upstairs to AquaVie’s luxury locker rooms where refreshing areas and vanity stations were designed with seriously special post-workout pampering in mind. Expect to be greeted by inset TVs, perfectly rolled towels, private glass-enclosed showers and high-end AquaVie branded products, including shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. Post-session hair frizz won’t be an issue either thanks to the full-length mirrors and in-house styling tools. Both male and female locker rooms each feature a steam room and large dry sauna for the ultimate post-gym muscle relaxation and recovery.
Native Knowledge: Level three membership privileges include a private locker with laundry service (because who really wants to drag sweaty clothes around all day?!) and up to three hours of valet parking.

Clean, spacious and contemporary—think handsome wood and glass room dividers that double as the towel, foam roller and mat stations—the fitness center has a wide selection of free weights and state-of-the-art cardio machines to tailor those circuit-training sessions. The group exercise rooms hold a wide selection of classes too, including mat Pilates, power pump and barre. Members love the 30-minute ‘blast core’ during lunchtime or getting Zen with yin yoga and mindful meditation. Level three is also home to the AquaVie Spa which offers a range of luxe-yet-holistic services from massages to wraps. The Hydrafacial with NuFace Lifting Treatment enhancement is a must-try. Chill out pre or post-appointment in the relaxation lounge or shop for skincare—the spa exclusively stocks product lines from SkinCeuticals and Emminence.
Native Knowledge: Enjoy a complimentary glass of Champagne with any nail service during the Weekday Spa Happy Hours (Monday through Thursday, 4- 6 p.m.) For a perfect mid-day pick-me-up, try the 50-minute facial and massage Executive Lunch Special (Monday through Friday, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.)
Whether you’re more lounge lizard than focused lane swimmer, nothing beats a rooftop pool with stellar downtown views. AquaVie’s lap offering is heated to a perfect 81 degrees Farenheit year-round and hosts a masters swim class every Monday evening. In addition to a TRX frame and spin classes, there are three private fitness studios up here too, while runners can throw in some interval sprints on the cushioned one-tenth mile track. Rooftop R&R is also encouraged—members often kick back in one of the stylish lounge areas and use the house phone to order poolside “room service” from The Westgate Hotel next door.
Native Knowledge: Practice those sun salutations and say “Namaste” every Saturday with AquaVie during their weekly Yoga & Mimosas special. Members can enjoy an invigorating 60-minute Vinyasa class on the rooftop deck followed by a well-deserved cocktail. Non-members are welcome too ($20 fee applies).
Because nothing boosts fitness motivation like a five-star gym membership. Month-to-month options start at $125 with perks including a 50-minute intro PT session and reduced rate valet parking. The Spa Membership ($109) is available as an add-on or standalone option with privileges including one monthly 50-minute massage or facial and access to facilities, including the pool, on the day of each scheduled service.
