It’s that time of year again, stores have already started decorating and everyone is starting their holiday shopping. This is the happiest times of the year, and with that comes fun holiday activities and events that you can do with your loved ones. One of Orange County’s newest waterfront shopping destinations, Pacific City in Huntington Beach, is planning on making this season a true Winter Wonderland. Yes, even in the 75-degree Southern California weather you will feel like you just stepped into the North Pole and they are kicking off the season this weekend, Saturday Nov. 19 with Santa!

This Saturday, Santa is planning on making quite the entrance by skydiving onto the beach in front of Pacific City at approximately noon! This is a free event for the public where you can watch Santa’s exciting arrival from the main deck of Pacific City near Simmzy’s and Lemonade. After Santa has made his landing you will have the opportunity for photos with Santa  and enjoy live music from Westminster Men’s Chorus, who will be performing in a flash-mob style, so keep an eye out! Between the skydiving, the photos, the unexpected singing and dancing this will be one totally awesome way to kick start into the holidays! If you happen to miss this grand entrance of Santa, don’t worry there will be plenty of opportunities for photos throughout November and December, however dates and times do vary so be sure to check Pacific City’s website for details.

This Holiday Kickoff Event, is just that! This is the beginning of a variety of different holiday activities that Pacific City will be hosting. Starting on Thursday, Dec. 1 at 2 p.m. Pacific City starts their “25 Days of Giving” program. Pacific City will turn itself into something you’d see straight out of a movie; there will be an unveiling of a life-sized advent holiday countdown calendar. Each door to the advent calendar will be filled with surprises, and of course one will be opened each day until Christmas. Some of the surprises you’ll find behind the doors are inspirational messages, to keep you in the giving spirit, special offers, information on different shopping events to benefit local charities and more! Throughout all of November and December you can also enjoy live music on the weekends. Also on the weekends Pacific City’s Pedal Squad, which is a group of people on beach cruisers will be going around to perform random acts of giving! They will roam around Pacific City and give shoppers a chance for some pop-up style holiday fun, as well as free gifts for a few lucky winners! Some of the gifts will include merchandise or food “on the house, ” according to the team at Pacific City.

What’s the holiday season without some great holiday movie classics? Pacific City will host Holiday Movie nights, three Wednesday nights on Dec. 7, 14 and 21 from 7-9 p.m., welcome for people of all ages. The holiday fun isn’t just for you and your friends, family or little ones, it’s also for your furry friends! On Dec. 3, 10 and 17 Pacific City is hosting “Santa Paws” where you can bring your dogs to get their turn meeting Santa. That will run from 4-6 p.m. There will also be other fun activities, like a wreath-making class on Dec. 8 and a “kid’s club” day.

Pacific City really wants this holiday season to be one of the best, and they have a lot of great and fun activities going on that cater to everyone, big or small or furry! If you can’t make it to one event, be sure that there will be plenty more to come before the end of December, making the last of 2016 memorable and starting 2017 off with a fun start! There will be more events that pop up later down the line; there are a few surprises up Pacific City’s sleeve, but you can rest assured that they will be great!
