Introducing the “Lunch On Us” Campaign With Chronic Tacos

Written By: Taylor Gorski Serving Those Who Serve

The Serving Those Who Serve initiative, spearheaded by Andrew and Raquel Dorsey of SOCIAL Kitchen & Craft Bar, is now continuing their campaign. This time, they’ve teamed up with Chronic Tacos Beach Cities for “Lunch On Us”. “One of the original founders of Chronic Tacos, Dan Biello, is one of our partners with SOCIAL Restaurant Group. It was an obvious choice for us to use Chronic Tacos this time around, because it’s a part of us, too,” states Raquel Dorsey, co-owner of SOCIAL Kitchen & Craft Bar

Back in March, a Serving Those Who Serve GoFundMe was created to help recently unemployed or furloughed hospitality workers and frontline workers, offering a free meal from SOCIAL Costa Mesa. “Chronic Tacos helped out the first time around and put their truck outside of SOCIAL; it was a big hit and people loved it. This time it’s just Chronic Tacos supplying the food,” says Dorsey. The Serving Those Who Serve campaign with Chronic Tacos started on July 20 and is set to run until the end of the mandated state order of restaurant closures.

The purpose of “Lunch On Us” is to provide a $10 credit to Chronic Tacos for those who are unemployed or furloughed due to recent government mandates. In order to claim your free meal, you must show your last pay stub, work schedule and badge. Simply walk in between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., show these necessary materials and tag #ChronicTacos on social media to share the news with others.

Don’t forget your mask and to respect the six feet apart social distanced rule.
