Stassi Schroeder, Ballers’ Donovan Carter and Norbert the Dog

On time and strolling in with a huge smile and a suitcase full of shoes, Stassi Schroeder immediately set the tone for a fun and adventurous shoot day on the iconic Venice Beach Boardwalk.

The style for Stassi’s cover shoot was an updated ‘80s look. This was achieved with chic makeup by Brian Bond and a classic side-pony perfectly styled by Julia Savitskaya. As for accessories, last minute we got a call from our good friends over at JammyPack who rushed over some amazing fanny packs with built in bluetooth speakers for listening to music. They were perfect for completing Stassi’s last look of the day and made for an awesome time on the boardwalk.

If you’ve never been to Venice Beach, let me paint you a picture. The smell of the ocean, surfers walking by carrying their boards, people rollerblading and skateboarding with their own music blaring, and artists lined up along the boardwalk selling their latest creations. Oh, and then there was Stassi jumping around in a cloud of bubbles as photographer, Wil Cohen, captured her using his Canon 5DS and 50mm lens—casual.

Stassi was posting on social media during the shoot and within 10 minutes had over 70,000 views on Snapchat and over 100,000 on Instagram. I guess the paparazzi saw too because our shoot was shared around the world via the Daily UK and TMZ just a few hours later. Oh, the life of a celebrity.
