Sweater Weather

“The idea basically came from Instagram since the heart is the most popular emoji. I just thought it was a way to say, ‘I like myself and maybe you’re going to like me too.’”

Suit Up!

“It’s a lightweight suiting we developed with a mill in Portugal. It has stretch and is really comfortable for the desert.”

Metals Matter

“[Studebaker Metals] are a traditional metalsmith workshop in Pittsburgh, PA. They use classic methods to hand-forge their collections.”

Eye See You

“The frames are by a brand called Ultra. The style is the Goliath. They became popular in the 1970s. I’ve been wearing them since 1992.”

Keep Shinin’

“[My sunglasses] were discontinued about 10 years ago [from Ultra], so I’m re-purposing my old frames. Recently, Gucci did a version of them and we did a Mr Turk sunglasses version of them also.”

Palm Springs Style

What are go-to men’s fashion trends for the desert? “Sandals are always good and I love a caftan,” he says.

Come As You Are

Kurt Cobain is Jonathan’s style icon because “he knew how to mix it up.”

Native Knowledge

Jonathan is married to notable fashion designer Trina Turk, a nod to the name of the brand “Mr Turk.”
