Written By: Autumn Simon Summer Concerts LA

Sun’s out, fun’s out! Beginning July 11, The Point in El Segundo will be turning Wednesdays into a series of summer music festivals. Hundreds of families are expected to attend in order to enjoy free entertainment and activities at The Point.

Kicking off the good times is the band Feed the Kitty. The band has gained musical recognition since moving from Arizona to Los Angeles, and has been featured in the movies Lars and the Real Girl and National Lampoon’s: Cattle Call.

Marketing Manager, Rayna Langley is excited for the opening series performance“Feed the Kitty may just be the hardest working band in Southern California, if not the world,” Langley said. “Having an arsenal of thousands of songs, versatility is the name of the game for this band as they can provide a wide variety of quality live music to fit almost any occasion.”

Continuing the annual summer tradition, other artists will keep the Cali summer vibes going. We’re talking The Radio Rebels, Barely, Kevin Sousa Band, Jack Dani 90s Rock Review, Rockit and Pink Roach. Listeners will enjoy an array of genres from each artist such as country, rock, ‘80s and more!

At The Point’s restaurants, you can grab some grub and take it with you so you can munch on goodies while you sing along. They also have the option of enjoying live music alfresco on the patio at UMI by Hamasaku, True Food Kitchen, North Italia, Superba Food & Bread, Hopdoddy, ‘Lil Simmzy’s or Mendocino Farms.

Due to the event’s popularity, expect for there to be crowded nights at The Point. Langley suggests that people should start prepping early. “Guests should plan to arrive early, grab a bite to eat from one of The Point’s restaurants, or order to-go and bring your meal out to the lawn,” Langley said. “They should also plan to bring their own blanket or chairs.”

The cherry on top? This event is free to the public and open for all ages! You also have the opportunity to stop by the registration table for a chance to win a $50 gift certificate to a participating location at The Point. Shopping spree anyone?

So grab your blankets, chairs and loved ones and get ready for a night of music and fun!
