Bring your appetite and prepare your tastebuds for the 3rd annual Taste of Pacific City! This foodie event showcases tasty food and drinks from eateries at the Huntington Beach shopping center. On May 16 from 7-9 p.m., experience the best that Pacific City has to offer while listening to the sounds of live music and ocean waves. With $75 VIP and $35 General Admission tickets, you get to sample Pacific City and support the Huntington Beach Surfing Walk of Fame. From cupcakes to ceviche, here is your guide to the food offered at this year’s Taste of Pacific City.

1 | Backhouse Taste of Pacific City

Must-Order: Shrimp Tempura Roll

Grounded in traditional Japanese culinary practices, Backhouse uses the robata grill and sushi techniques to create fresh and tasty Japanese food. They offer an array of sushi, poke bowls, ramen and carpaccio to satisfy guests. Start the evening at Backhouse by tasting the Chicken Gyoza, Shrimp Tempura Roll, Cali Roll and Summer Smash Cocktail.


2 | Bear Flag Fish Co. Taste of Pacific City

Must-Order: Peruvian Ceviche

3 | Beau Soleil Kitchen & Bar

Must-Order: Beer-battered cod bites

Described as “slightly French and all the way fun,” Beau Soleil brings French inspiration to classic American cuisine. Beau Soleil serves up plates like fish and chips, wings, burgers and pizzas. Try Beau Soleil’s beer-battered cod bites, seasoned fries and craft cocktail sampling.

Buy a VIP ticket for early entry into Taste of the Pacific City. VIPs get to start at 6 p.m., giving them an extra hour to savor all the food and drinks.

As a celebration of California, Bluegold conveys the Golden State’s essence and food culture through farm-to-table meals made from seasonal and local ingredients. This coastal California eatery also has another restaurant inside it, LSXO, that serves dishes inspired by Chef Tin Vuong’s heritage through South Vietnamese and Chinese cuisine.


5 | Saint Marc

Must-Order: Bacon wrapped dates

Saint Marc – American Cuisine & Pub bases itself on West Coast style with simple bites and savory dishes. 9 | Mahogany Smoked Meats

11 | Old Crow Smokehouse

Old Crow Smokehouse brings southern barbecue to Southern California. Using the barbecue styles from the Carolinas, Memphis, Kansas City and Texas, the restaurant offers juicy and rich flavors in the form of ribs, sirloin, chicken and salmon. The Dudes Brewing Co. show their passion for ales and lagers by bringing an innovative twist to beer. Use your drink ticket on one of The Dude’s happy hour beers.

Must-Try: Oil and Vinegar pairings

This new German shop in Lot 579 offering lets you sample and taste artisanal oils, liqueurs, spirits and vinegar. For over 20 years, vomFASS has been proud of its dedication to quality and cultivating great relationships with growers and suppliers to bring the finest oils and vinegar. vomFASS will be offering oil and vinegar pairings as well as a specialty cocktail.


A Lot of Good Things: LOT 579 is Pacific City’s modern food hall which brings together 15 eateries and shops in a unique space.


18 | Ways & Means Oyster House

Must-Order: Polenta Balls

Ways & Means Oyster House is a full-service seafood restaurant carrying delicious seafood for guests. Focused on sustainability, this ocean-to-table dining experience showcases local food through its tapas-style menu. This oyster house serves freshly shucked oysters and dressed oysters with cocktails, wines and beers. Delicious non-oyster offerings include clam chowder, crispy fish tacos, shrimp po’boy sliders and lobster tomato burrata.
