Belly Up to This Reimagined Retro Bar in the Heart of Old Town Orange

This Renovated Old Town Orange Bar Serves Up Stiff Drinks and Rockin’ Beats

Situated in the heart of Orange, The District Lounge has opened its doors back up after a fresh renovation. We could not wait to be the first in line! With hints of its original dive-bar character still intact, the refurbished leather booths, vintage beer chandeliers and animal heads with bras dangling from their antlers create a rustic, retro and edgy atmosphere. Along with changes to decor, The District Lounge now offers 10 beers on tap, specialty craft cocktails (tip: try the Juice Cleanse if you like a kick of cayenne) and an elevated bar menu that will make you want to grab a drink and a pool cue, request a song from the DJ and stay a while! Here’s five reasons why The District Lounge will be your favorite go-to bar in Orange. District Lounge Old Town Orange

1 | Retro Meets Refined

If you had the chance to visit before, you’ll realize The District Lounge is back and way better than you might remember. Snag a stool at the newly remodeled bar and ask the bartender about the rotating craft handles from local breweries or about the vast selection of premium and single-barrel whiskey they carry. Once you choose your booze, take a sip and look around. Frames with vintage pictures of pin-up girls hang on the walls with a spacious pool area to rack up a set of billiard balls. Try not to scratch! Wait, is that an Airstream?! Walk up to the kitchen’s nostalgic Airstream front and order from their carefully curated menu—the Special Sandwich is a 40-year-old recipe with locally sourced sausage, Swiss cheese, mustard and a zesty dill pickle! Cue up your favorite song on Touch Tunes, grab a friend and jump in the photo booth while you wait for your food. Outside, the patio makes for the perfect spot to munch and mingle with spacious seating and greenery for privacy.

2 | Night on the (Old) Town

Hey Mr. DJ, won’t you turn the music up? If you are looking for the late night spot in Old Town Orange, look no further! Open till 2 a.m., The District Lounge features weekly DJ sets so you can dance the night away (or at least until the bartender makes last call)! And for those who consider themselves early birds as opposed to night owls, The District Lounge offers a mean happy hour Monday through Friday from 2-7 p.m.

3 | Grilled Cheese? Yes, Please!

In addition to the Special Sandwich, The District Lounge offers a signature turkey & Swiss panini melt and grilled cheese (tip: Add bacon and avocado to really layer it on!), all inspired by their sister bar—and one of our other OC favorites—Blackie’s By the Sea. Regulars will be happy to hear that The District Lounge has kept it’s happy hour with specials on well drinks, call drinks, premium drinks, craft cocktails, domestic and import bottles as well as draft beer. Don’t miss taco Tuesday every Tuesday from 4-10 p.m. with $1.50 tacos, $4 Coronas and $5 Los Sundays margaritas! Need we say more?

4 | But First, Brunch!

Mimosas, micheladas and bloody marys—you have our attention! Check out The District Lounge’s all-new brunch menu, offered on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sink your teeth into brunch favorites like the breakfast burritos, chilaquiles or the savory Walk of Shame Burger (a grilled beef patty, lettuce caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, bacon, fried egg and garlic aioli) to cure even the worst hangover. Pop a bottle of champagne to really get the celebration going. Take it from us, we know a good brunch!

5 | Have a Ball

Looking to catch a game after work? Head to The District Lounge for an evening of beers, burgers and big-screen action. Whether you are cheering for the home team or rooting for an underdog, there isn’t a bad seat in the house at The District Lounge with over 20 plasma screens lining the walls. Cheers!

Heads up, this is a 21+ bar so be ready to show your ID.
