This All-New BRABUS Automobile Has Bells, Whistles and So Much More

Written By: Kaylin Waizinger BRABUS ROCKET 900

For more than four decades, the BRABUS team has constructed high-performance supercars derived from Mercedes-Benz vehicles. This tradition continues to live on through the BRABUS MASTERPIECE label and the construction of the limited edition BRABUS ROCKET 900. As only one of 10 vehicles built worldwide, this exclusive four-door car is as rare as it gets. Below, you’ll find an in-depth exploration of how this vehicle came to be the masterpiece that it is.

Design and Exterior BRABUS ROCKET 900

In order to give the BRABUS ROCKET 900 a strikingly bold look, the designers crafted a strong yet lightweight carbon widebody with sporty accents, such as naked carbon panels on the rear bumper and carbon covers for the mirrors. The front of the vehicle features integrated sweeping flares and new, wider fenders. When it came to achieving optimal aerodynamics, the team stepped into the wind tunnel to design components that would produce more downforce, ultimately creating supreme handling stability at high speeds.

Sleek Interior BRABUS ROCKET 900

Each of the 10 BRABUS ROCKET 900s created has an interior that is tailor-made to meet the desires of its future owner. The fine black leather and Alcantara interior is artfully contrasted with grey stitching and piping. Throughout the car, you’ll find a signature quilted “crest” coat of arms pattern, carefully created and placed with pinpoint precision. To tie together the vehicle’s unique, sporty look, carbon elements with high-gloss sealer can also be found in the car’s state-of-the-art interior. Ambient interior lighting, aluminum door pins and pedals and a “ONE OF TEN” plaque in the cockpit round off the high-class look of this world-class masterpiece.

Wheels and Chassis

The BRABUS ROCKET 900 “ONE OF TEN” is equipped with exceptionally wide tires (diameters of 21 and 22 inches on the front and rear axle). These tires help optimize the outstanding traction of the 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system. Using a high-tech forging process, the BRABUS suspension engineers crafted extra-large versions of the BRABUS Monoblock Z wheels. Aero discs made from naked carbon give these flashy wheels a sporty touch.

Power and Sound BRABUS ROCKET 900

BRABUS is known for their elaborately designed engines with more displacement. And just like the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4MATIC+, the BRABUS ROCKET 900 “ONE OF TEN” is powered by an eight-cylinder, four-liter engine with two turbochargers. The displacement of the engine is increased to 4.5 liters with top-notch technology. The vehicle’s two special BRABUS high-performance turbochargers increase the maximum boost pressure to 1.4 bar, while the carbon ram-air intake system provides the engine with more air intake capability. The vehicle’s weight is relatively high (4,673 pounds), so the top speed is electronically limited to 205 mph—still a roaring speed for an automobile of this caliber.
