The Third Annual Newport Beach Wine & Food Festival returns September 29 and will run until October 2. Tickets are on sale now for this exclusive event! Here’s a preview of the festivities:

This year Taste Around Town will make an appearance with a series of select food and wine tasting experiences with celebrity chefs and master sommeliers at various restaurants in Newport Beach. Taste Around Town will take place on Thursday and Friday, September 29-30, followed by the return of critically-acclaimed Daytime Festival on Saturday and Sunday, October 1-2 at the Newport Beach Civic Center.

“We’re especially excited about our new VIP offerings with live cooking demos with celebrity chefs, champagne and caviar tastings, and even a 100-point wine tasting event, all taking place before the doors open for General Admission guests at the Daytime Festival, ” says Founder & CEO Stefanie Salem. “Guests are definitely echoing our excitement, as three of these VIP events are already sold out!”

Newport Beach Wine & Food Festival will invite back many of the chefs and restaurants from previous years, but also look to bring a fresh, new taste to the Daytime Festival by adding a variety of new restaurants and wineries. This year they are having 20 restaurants in the Grand Tasting Pavilion each day and have been working closely with Master Sommelier Michael Jordan to bring in over 60 wineries pouring 200 tastings of some of their best boutique, cult and fine wines.

An abundance of tastes and cultures will be represented at the festival as well. All of the restaurants, wineries, spirits and imported brews are handpicked to ensure you experience only the best in varieties of tastings. “From fine French food, to the city’s most celebrated Italian and Mexican restaurants, and even long-standing local favorites, guests can find their favorite cuisine while also exploring new flavors from restaurants they have never tried, ” says Salem. “We also pride ourselves in having an incredible selection of boutique, cult and world-renowned wines. There is something for everyone at the Newport Beach Wine & Food Festival, so come hungry, be sure to take advantage of all four hours of endless tastings and prepare your palates for one of the best epicurean journeys in the country!”

Salem has a difficult time nailing down merely one event she is excited about, but she is definitely looking forward to hosting all the guests and talented chefs while enjoying some bubbly. “Who doesn’t love indulging in champagne and caviar or mingling with chefs such as Rick Bayless and Hubert Keller in an intimate setting?” says Salem. “Our restaurants and their executive chefs always bring [their] A-game to the Daytime Festival, where you’ll taste some of each restaurant’s best cuisine and even experience creative dishes that go above and beyond their restaurant menus. We pour some of the best wines from around the world with winery owners and proprietors themselves pouring each and every tasting while also educating guests one-on-one.”
