For the Health of It Kevin Connolly

Luscious Lorraine’s has hip decor with great vegan food! It’s centrally located in Palm Desert, and their variety of options are limitless. I love to support Lorriane because of her passion and her unparalleled product. I’m usually grabbing a Beyond Burger; you can’t go wrong, however, with any of the choices. There’s also a healthy grocery store (Harvest Health) in the adjacent complex.

Cozy Up Kevin Connolly

When it comes to cocktails, I’m more of a mocktail fan, and I’ll consume anything with blueberry acai! My other favorite “beverages” of choice include green tea, cappuccinos with oat milk and Sambazon. I love to enjoy a drink by the fireplace at Sparrows Lodge on a chilly night. With its rustic, Tuscan vibes, this hidden spot in Palm Springs is relaxation at its finest.

Go Vegan or Go Home

Chef Tayna’s Kitchen is a great spot for an al fresco meal; it has a city vibe with a limitless vegan menu! The variety, creativity and uniqueness of Tanya’s makes it a hidden gem. Pro tip: you’ll definitely need GPS to find it, and you’ll be hooked after the first visit.

Let Loose

When you visit Pappy & Harriet’s in the middle of the high desert, you’ll think you’ve landed on another planet. Surrounded by Joshua trees and rugged landscape, this iconic music venue is like no other spot in our desert. For a small Western-themed venue, iconic musical acts perform here on a regular basis. I’ve seen Chvrches & Diiv in concert at Pappy’s! Call up Google Maps, dress warm and arrive early.

When in Doubt, Hike It Out

Painted Canyon Trail in Mecca, CA is one of my favorite hikes! Getting there is an adventure in itself, but once you’re there, the climb up the “ropes” is harrowing fun. It’s definitely a challenge, both mentally and physically, but you’re rewarded with the view from the top of the canyon. It’s a life-changing experience to pull this hike off.
