MONDAY

Who doesn’t love pizza and beer? On Monday, Alexander’s Italian restaurant has a special on both $1 beers and $6 pizzas. They also have a great wine and pasta selection if you’re in the mood. I love to sit on their patio where you can enjoy dinner to the sound of their fountain and watch old surf movies they play on the back of the restaurant.

TUESDAY

Tequila Tuesday at West Coast Tavern is the spot to be. You can get a tequila flight of three tequilas and one mezcal that pairs perfectly with Chef Abe’s south of the border inspired special.

WEDNESDAY

For hump day I like to go to yoga at Core Power Yoga. They offer a variety of classes—my favorite is Hot Power Fusion, it’s great for a midweek sweat.

THURSDAY

Thursday is the best night to walk around the North Park neighborhood. The North Park Farmer’s Market on North Park Way and 29th is a great place to shop for groceries or grab a quick bite. The market is known for its great chef demos, where you can catch local chefs making their favorite recipes and giving out cooking tips. The market is open 3-7:30 p.m.

FRIDAY

To get ready for the weekend I like to get my nails done at Pink & White. They do a great gel manicure and have a variety of wines you can sip on while you get your nails done. Afterwards, I like to go to Pigment to shop, it’s the best place to buy a gift for a friend or get inspired for new ideas around the house.

SATURDAY

A night out on the town wouldn’t be complete without dinner and a show. The Observatory theatre offers many great concerts. The building was built in 1928 and has a historic charm. I prefer to sit on their balcony where you can enjoy food and drinks while you watch the show.

SUNDAY

Sundays I like to start the day off with brunch. Urban Solace has a great menu, I love the peach bellinis and Chef Gordon’s salmon benedict. The perfect way to spend Sunday relaxing is to visit the Lafayette pool. On Sundays they often offer entertainment poolside. The hotel is beautiful it is an historical landmark in the neighborhood and preparing to celebrate the 70th year in business.
