1920s Inspired Decor, Craft Cocktails, and Late-Night Bites

If you’re any sort of F. Scott Fitzgerald or Duke Ellington aficionado, get ready to experience the sultry cocktails of the 1920s with a night out at Social Management Group’s newest social lounge, Holiday. It officially opened doors on Friday, July 15 in Westside Costa Mesa. The venue offers nightly entertainment and an unique evening experience out on the town.
The beautiful early 1900s French Country Plantation House inspired interior lounge, handcrafted wood carved bar, and dimmed ambience is the perfect setting to celebrate the era with friends over snacks and cocktails. And the “Gatsby” is a sweet cinnamon cocktail that pairs perfectly with any of the snacks on the menu—especially the gourmet popcorn. The drink boasts Grey Goose vodka, coconut water, Falernum syrup, house-made cinnamon syrup, and a hint of lime.
While the “Gatsby” is quite the crowd pleaser, the “Lemon & Lavender” cocktail certainly comes in at the top of the list as well. It’s a refreshing way to begin your night with Tito’s vodka, muddled lemon, lavender simple syrup, with a twist served up.
You cannot leave Holiday Social Lounge without trying the assortment of mini grilled cheese sandwiches—the “Southern Hospitality” squishes macaroni & cheese and pulled pork between buttermilk bread. These will have you on the floor begging for more once you and your friends have cleared the plate (if you shared with them, that is). If you’re craving some late-night dessert, try “The Nut” with Nutella and fried bananas on sweet Hawaiian bread.
The principal members of Social Management Group have been operating and promoting restaurants, bars, nightclubs and special events in California for over 15 years. You may recognize the name from some of their local hot-spots like Sutra Nightclub, Bassmnt NightClub and La Vida Cantina.
“Holiday is a really unique spin on a night out in OC, ” says Mike Kinsella, Operating Partner at Social Management Group. “The vibe, ambiance, cocktail program and entertainment are going to offer something special for those looking beyond the typical bar scene and who aren’t interested in going to a traditional nightclub. Holiday is a social cocktail lounge unlike anything else in the market.”
Holiday Social Lounge will be open Thursday, Frida, y and Saturday evenings through August. You can’t go wrong for a night out at a place where every night feels like a holiday.
