Monday morning it’s straight into work. Poler Outdoor Stuff in Laguna Beach is situated in an old garden nursery. The 110-year-old structure now houses a mix of local art and all the latest Poler products.

[I go to] Taco Tuesday at a Laguna Beach staple—Avila’s El Ranchito. Two dollar tacos and a pint of beer always hits the spot.

7 a.m. Foundation, dubbed “Adult P.E.,” with my wife, Christy. Alyssa and Nikki always kick our butts. Next up is lunch at Kamea Poke in Dana Point where the portions are generous! Get the seaweed salad and spicy shoyu sauce! Then we’ll bike to Pines Park for the sunset.

Up early checking the surf at 204s. If it’s flat again I’ll head to Ellie’s Table for a latte and a scoop of egg salad. Later on, I surf Creek in lieu of lunch.

Escape the office early and meet my wife at Drift Distillery in San Clemente for small batch whiskey on the rocks. Afterwards, I head downtown to meet friends and their dog on the deck at Nomads.

Up early to beat the line at San Onofre, but I never do. The car is loaded with friends, boards, beers (shhhh), a Weber Smokey Joe, Trader Joe’s tri-tip and a bunch of other essentials. Surf all day and barbecue all evening. What else are Saturdays for?

Jump on our bikes mid-morning and head to La Colombiana for a pollo asada plate and bottomless mimosas. Finish the day watching the sunset at Louise Leydon Park overlooking Doheny.
