You Get to Choose Ruby’s New Menu Items for 2017

Egg White Burrito, Banana Nut French Toast and Chorizo Breakfast Bowl Among Surveyed Items

Written By: Alana Aronson New Menu Items at Ruby’s Diner

On a cold and rainy Friday morning, I stepped into the welcoming Ruby’s Diner at South Coast Plaza to test what they know best—dishes that comfort the soul and satisfy any appetite. Ruby’s Diner is empowering its guests to decide which, from their 11 new breakfast menu items, get to stay. From now until Jan. 15, all 11 are available to order. With your help, though, finalized menu items will be released and served in all locations on Jan. 23.

Some of the items include: their Egg White Burrito, Country Breakfast Sliders, Banana Nut French Toast Combo, Breakfast Grilled Cheese, Mile High Quesadilla, 50/50 Hotcakes, French Toast Sticks and a Southern Fried Benny. Ruby’s has also introduced three breakfast bowls: a Country Sausage & Biscuit Bowl, Hash Bowl and Chorizo Bowl. Alexandra Berru, media contact from The ACE Agency for Ruby’s Diner, claims the bowls really “cater to the guests that are on the go.”

While a rendition of The Sound of Music’s “My Favorite Things” played in the background, I ordered up a few of mine. In the spirit of the holidays, I opted for a “naughty” dish and a “nice” one. The Egg White Burrito was the perfect balance of protein and vegetables, and loaded with just enough spice. I love fresh salsa and spinach in anything, so I was thrilled to find both in this burrito. It was warm and flavorful and perfect to eat for those on the go, or customers that choose to dine in. The Banana Nut French Toast was my other choice…Decadent and warm, packed with sweetness and the right amount of crunch from the nuts. Topped with caramel and whipped cream, this is an order prepared to satisfy any sweet tooth. What are you waiting for? Shooby Dooby down to Ruby’s today!
