Locale Magazine — Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using localeMagazine.com (the “Site”) and its services, whether as a casual visitor, subscriber, contributor, advertiser, or event submitter, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, currently effective as of March 24, 2020.
2. Description of Services
Locale Magazine is a cultural and lifestyle media platform offering editorial content, event information, advertising, sweepstakes, and other promotional initiatives.
3. User Eligibility & Conduct

You must be 13 or older to use the Site. If you’re under 13, please do not provide personal information, and any such information will be deleted upon request.

You agree to use the Site lawfully, respectfully, and not to interfere with Site operations or other users.
4. Intellectual Property
All content, including text, images, videos, design elements, trademarks, and logos, is owned or licensed by Locale Magazine. You may view and share such content for personal, non-commercial use only, with attribution. Any other use requires prior written permission from Locale Magazine.
5. Advertisements & Media Kit
Locale offers advertising opportunities as outlined in its media kit. Advertisers must comply with our submission guidelines and contractual terms.
6. Event Submissions
Submitters agree that events posted via “Localendar” are subject to moderation and approval. Locale is not liable for inaccuracies or issues related to posted events.
7. Sweepstakes & Contests
Sweepstakes hosted by Locale must follow clearly defined rules. As per existing Sweepstakes Terms & Conditions (e.g., date requirements, no purchase necessary disclaimers). Terms should state prize details, eligibility, notification processes and releases, including winner obligations and publicity rights.
8. User Submissions (Photos, Comments, Feedback)
By submitting content, you grant Locale a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and use your submissions for promotional and editorial purposes, worldwide, without compensation. You warrant that your submission is your original work and does not infringe third-party rights.
9. Links to Third-Party Content
The Site may contain links to external sites. Locale Magazine is not responsible for third-party content or practices and encourages users to review other sites’ terms and policies.
10. Disclaimers & Limitations of Liability
The Site and its content are provided “as-is” and “as available.” Locale makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding accuracy, reliability, fitness for purpose, or non-infringement. Locale is not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from Site use.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Locale Magazine harmless from any claim arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.
12. Termination
Locale reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access for any breach or for any reason, at its discretion, without notice.
13. Changes to These Terms
Locale may modify these Terms at any time by posting the updated version on the Site. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by California law. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate state or federal courts located in California.
