Fashion Week El Paseo

Dates: March 15-21

Calling all fashionistas! Fashion Week El Paseo, the West Coast’s largest consumer fashion show, is right around the corner, and you can expect seven days of fun and fabulous style. The three main designers featured this year are Simon Ungless, Leon Klaassen Bos, and Scooter LaForge. From cocktail receptions to celebrity meet-and-greets, get ready to sit back in awe as you watch the models strut in some of the hottest pieces of the year. There will also be a few pop-up shops where you can snag your favorite pieces in preparation for a fashion-forward 2024. This highly anticipated event is sponsored in part by The Shops on El Paseo! This collection of boutiques, shops and eateries sits at the base of the Santa Rosa Mountains in Palm Desert, offering fashion enthusiasts a chance to browse some of the best brands. Hone your look before attending Fashion Week at stores like Ralph Lauren, Connie Roberson, Grayse and more.

Palm Desert Food & Wine Festival

If you’re a foodie in SoCal, you’ll definitely want to secure your tickets to the Palm Desert Food & Wine Festival. From top chefs to renowned winemakers, this annual gastronomic event takes place over the course of four days on El Paseo. When it comes to talent, there will be 34 chefs and 57 restaurants featured. The first day of the festival kicks off with a cheese masterclass, followed by a four-course James Beard Gourmet luncheon. However, the grand tastings on both Saturday and Sunday are what we’re most excited about.

Madonna at Acrisure Arena

Ready to take a trip back to the ‘80s? Madonna will be performing a legendary set at Acrisure Arena on March 13. Considering she is a music icon, attendees can expect to hear songs that span her 40-year career, catering to both day-one listeners and younger generations of fans. In addition to premium seats, VIP ticket holders are given a behind-the-scenes tour, a group photo on stage, a limited-edition print and more. Tickets are selling fast so be sure to book yours ASAP and arrive when doors open at 7 p.m.

’Mean Girls’ at McCallum Theatre

Obsessed with the new “Mean Girls” movie? Catch a live performance of the beloved Broadway show at McCallum Theatre from March 29 to 31. Created by comedy superstar Tina Fey, this hilariously funny play takes a new approach to the iconic 2004 blockbuster film. Featuring original songs and killer choreography by Casey Nicholaw, this musical will have you laughing and dancing along while you reminisce on some of the film’s most quote-worthy lines and scenes. If you can’t make it to an evening show, there are performances at 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Sheep Shearing Festival at 123 Farm

The Sheep Shearing Festival is a special way to connect with animals while learning about the importance and many uses of wool. This family-friendly event takes place over two days and is free with $12 paid parking. First, guests will be shown how to shear sheep in a safe and efficient manner before being taught about storing and washing wool. You’ll also be introduced to the concept of natural dyes, and there will be plenty of opportunities for wool-related crafts like making keychains and your own felted animal.

White Party Global

Dates: March 29-31

Celebrate with the beloved LGBTQ+ community of Palm Springs at the annual White Party Global Palm Springs. In its 34th year, this iconic music festival will feature performances from talented DJs like Isis Muretech and Corey Craig. Each day of the festival features a variety of events, but you won’t want to miss the pool parties during the day. Let loose with your best crew as you groove to the tunes and sip on craft cocktails under the blazing desert sun. At night, the party continues on under the stars.

Fash Bash: Hollywood Icons Fashion Show at Palm Springs Art Museum

Date: March 2

Enjoy a night of glitz and glam at the Fash Bash: Hollywood Icons Fashion Show. Taking place from 6 to 10 p.m. on March 2, iconic pieces and vintage couture will be taking over the Palm Springs Art Museum. In addition to the “Hollywood Icons Inspire Fashion Masterpieces” display, guests will have the chance to admire creations by David Tupaz, opulent hats by Arturo Rios, a special pool and resort collection by El Tuggle, and more.
