One of our favorite day-trip activities includes a ride on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway—the world’s largest rotating tram car. This 10-minute journey takes riders along 2.5 miles of the breathtaking cliffs of Chino Canyon, eventually stopping at Mt. San Jacinto State Park. The tram cars rotate slowly, offering spectacular vistas of the valley floor below. Once you reach the Mountain Station, you and your crew can enjoy everything from observation decks and documentary theaters to restaurants, a gift shop and over 50 miles of hiking trails!
