Next Weekend’s Plans Just Got a Whole Lot Hoppier

Let’s talk beer. Better yet, let’s talk California-inspired brews, harbor views and good grub. This past December, Huntington Harbor welcomed Golden Road Brewing, a small-batch brewhouse with 30+ taps, a dog-friendly patio and a full-service restaurant.
Okay, back to the beer.
With a focus on ales using experimental hops and yeast strains, Golden Road serves up the coveted California lifestyle in a pint-sized glass. From year-round classics like the Wolf Pup Session IPA—a hoppy and refreshing brew that’s perfect for sunny-day sippin’—to specialty beers like the Palisades Pineapple—an ale infused with notes of pineapple and apricots—this brewery steals the show in terms of bold and ambitious flavors.
Aside from Golden Road’s funky “on-tap” creativity, unique combinations of ingredients can be found throughout the brewery’s expansive food menu. For a light bite, opt for the tasty fried avocado tacos or the rosemary turkey melt. If you come in with a “calories don’t count” mindset, indulge in an order of the lobster mac and cheese or a charcuterie pizza topped with prosciutto, serrano ham, balsamic glazed figs, arugula, mozzarella, goat cheese and roasted garlic butter—yum!
In a conscious effort to give back and show the community some love, Golden Road partnered with Heal the Bay, a nonprofit organization dedicated to keeping our SoCal coastline clean. If this cause resonates with you, order a Heal the Bay IPA and a Coastkeeper Pizza because a portion of the sale will go to Heal the Bay and Orange County Coastkeeper to help keep our beaches clean. The type of pizza rotates monthly, so be sure to ask your server what pie they’re tossin’ up this month.

Situated on PCH with a back patio facing the harbor, this little brewhouse is any Southern Californian’s day-drinking dream.
