Show Your Skin Some Love
When it comes to showing love to local businesses, I support them all. One of my favorites is The Formula Skin Lab. Being in the kitchen for so long, my face gets greasy, so I enlist the help of Stephanie J. She’s a pro when it comes to skincare!
In Good Fashion
When I’m craving a really good cocktail, Cowboy Star in East Village gets me everytime. This restaurant and butcher shop serves up American cuisine with a Western flare, and they make a mean old fashioned with Cognac. Not to mention, the steaks are buku flavorful.EXP 3/7
Meat and Greet San Diego’s Best Food
I love steaks and BBQ, so my go-to spots in San Diego are Cowboy Star and Bowlegged BBQ. Cowboy Star has a Wagyu skirt steak that melts in your mouth, and Bowlegged BBQ is an East Texas-style spot with insanely good ribs! If you call yourself a meat-eater, these two places are a carnivore’s heaven.
Fellow Chef Shoutout
There are so many great chefs in San Diego, but Chef Brad Wise of Trust Restaurant Group has to be one of the best. He owns four restaurants! The growth I’ve seen from other chefs is also amazing, such as personal chef Kelston Moore as well as my guy Chef DuVal Warner of Ranch 45 in Solana Beach.EXP 10/10
When I need a mini vacation, I love Omni San Diego Hotel. It’s located right next to Petco Park in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter, and to be honest, I think it’s the incredible view that gets me. I’ve only stayed here once, and it was when I first came to San Diego. The property is beautiful and helped clear my mind.
