SeaWorld San Diego is turning up the heat with the return of its stand-out Summer Spectacular, now through Monday, September 1. This electrifying celebration features all-new entertainment, including a vibrant summer parade and a throwback nine-week concert series with some of the most influential artists in hip hop and R&B from the 90s and early 2000s. With dazzling fireworks, thrilling stunt shows, fan-favorite characters, the mesmerizing Jewels of the Sea: The Jellyfish Experience, and coasters after dark, there’s something for everyone to enjoy from day to night.

“From stunt shows and concerts to fireworks and thrilling new animal encounters, SeaWorld’s summer is packed with unforgettable moments.”

Which rescued baby animals are stealing hearts this season?

Three incredible rescue stories are capturing the hearts of guests this season. Dolphin calves Cardiff and Chance were both found in dire condition earlier this year and nursed back to health by SeaWorld San Diego’s expert Rescue Team. Cardiff, rescued with a fractured jaw and head trauma, and Chance, found abandoned and critically ill, are now thriving in their new home—serving as living proof of the team’s skill and compassion.

“These rescued babies aren’t just adorable—they’re ambassadors for the future of marine life.”

Adding to the lineup of adorable new faces is Bennett, a southern sea otter pup rescued from Pebble Beach at just 2.5 weeks old. After receiving initial care from Monterey Bay Aquarium, he was transferred to SeaWorld, where he’s now learning to dive and play alongside a mentor otter named Mocha. With fewer than 3,000 southern sea otters left in the wild, Bennett’s presence at the park underscores the importance of rescue, rehabilitation, and long-term species conservation.
