The FIFA World Cup kicks off on Nov. 20, sending the world of soccer into a frenzy of excitement and anticipation. Four years from now, LA’s SoFi Stadium will be hosting tournament matches, but until then, the City of Angels has plenty of solid options to get you in the soccer spirit throughout this year’s event. From historic sports bars to cozy breweries, get ready to root for your team over some bold brewskies because we’ve got you covered with the best spots to watch the World Cup in Los Angeles.

 

Golden Road Brewing

Golden Road Brewing in Atwater Village is pulling out all of the stops for the World Cup. This cozy brewery will be opening its doors at 11 a.m. for certain games (except on Nov. 22, when doors will open at 8 a.m. for Mexico’s match vs. Poland). RSVP and check all watch party dates here. For the special early opening on the 22nd, patrons can order from a one-time only breakfast menu that includes a classic breakfast sandwich and French toast. Golden Road Brewing will also be offering some solid drink specials, including $2 off micheladas, $2 pints and $10 Golden State Cerveza buckets.

The Greyhound Bar and Grill

The Greyhound Bar and Grill is a friendly neighborhood bar that has locations both in Highland Park and Glendale. The menu at Greyhound Bar and Grill features standard American fare like bone-in chicken wings, juicy burgers and personal pan pizzas. The draft beers range from Pilsners to IPAs, allowing you to kick back and relax as you tune into one of the many TVs to watch the World Cup during the establishment’s standard hours.

Rock & Brews

Rock & Brews is a legendary bar and restaurant founded by Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons, two of the iconic rock stars behind KISS. The lively and energetic space is ideal for watching what is sure to be an intense series, but the brewskies and loaded potato skins should help level everything out. During the World Cup, Rock & Brews will be playing all of the matches that take place during the bars regular operating hours.

Barney’s Beanery

With three locations across Los Angeles, Barney’s Beanery has made a name for itself as one of the most popular sports bars in the city. Whether you’re at the Westwood, Santa Monica or West Hollywood location, the World Cup will be playing across the many television screens. For almost 100 years, this beloved establishment has been serving up tasty chili, classic burgers and cheesy calzones, ensuring that there are plenty of food options for every fan.

BREWCO Manhattan Beach

BREWCO will be open at 11 a.m. each game day, offering viewers $5 canned beers. Located in Manhattan Beach, BREWCO is a local hot spot that has been around since 1991. This modern beer hall has 48 rotating brews on tap and over 50 different bottled varieties. If you’re in need of something stiff to take the edge off, explore one of BREWCO’s 130 premium whiskeys.

Legends Restaurant and Sports Bar

Looking to catch the early-morning games? Legends Restaurant and Sports Bar is making a truly legendary move by opening at 5 a.m. during the World Cup. Those that are dedicated to the world of soccer can snag a spot early and post up all day long. In addition to the special 5 a.m. opening, Legends Restaurant and Sports Bar will also be offering a tasty breakfast to boost morale and keep everyone’s spirits (and energy) high.

Hangar Inn

Hangar Inn is a Manhattan Beach bar that is also opening its doors super early for the World Cup. This neighborhood sports bar typically opens at 8 a.m., but in honor of this iconic sporting event, Hangar Inn will be opening at 6 a.m. Start game day with savory breakfast tacos or a veggie omelet that’s stuffed to the brim. Once you’re ready for your first ice-cold beer of the day, pour it up and pair it with some of the loaded hash browns.
