This 12,000-square-foot facility has everything from a multi-vehicle wash center to a sleek showroom. For more than 10 years, president East Lin has made it his mission to create a one-time solution that protects and preserves a vehicle’s appearance, maintaining that “new car” look for a decade or more. Lin gave us the inside scoop on five 405 Motoring services that will keep your car in tip-top shape, whether it be to increase the resale value or to simply love the car you drive

1 | Paint Protection Film

Having a smooth and flawless coat of paint is one of the best ways to keep your car looking spiffy. However, things like gravel, rocks and other road debris can easily fly up and chip the paint or cause unsightly scratches. Thankfully, 405 Motoring specializes in applying Paint Protection Film, also referred to as a “Clear Bra.” This protective film acts as a barrier and absorbs the damaging impact of these common hazards.

2 | Ceramic Coating

A ceramic coating makes keeping the outside of your car clean easier than ever. The hydrophobic properties of the coating allow dirt and mud to wash off with ease while the intense UV protection prevents discoloration and fading. “In comparison to wax, ceramic coating is much more durable and resistant to the environment,” says Lin. “If the temperature is 85 degrees or higher, wax starts melting away whereas ceramic coating can withstand up to 1,200 degrees.”

3 | Paint Correction

According to Lin, every new car needs a paint correction. “If you look carefully with a light, brand-new cars have imperfections like marring, light scratches or swirl marks, holograms, orange peels and sometimes, missing clear coats or even paint,” explains Lin. “Just because a car is ‘brand new’ doesn’t mean it has perfect paint condition.” This detailing ensures that everything is smooth and clean—just as a new car should be.

4 | Ceramic Tint

In addition to having aesthetic benefits, getting a ceramic tint also protects the inside of your car from harmful UV rays and rejects 95% of heat. “A ceramic window tint keeps everything inside safe and cool,” Lin says. “For electric vehicles, the benefit is even bigger! Instead of relying on the battery to cool the vehicle down, ceramic window tint will maintain a lower temperature in the cabin.”

5 | Vinyl Wraps

Looking to switch up the color of your car without the costly paint job? In addition to offering a small amount of paint protection, vinyl wraps can give you a head-to-toe makeover without having to use permanent paint. The wraps are available in a variety of colors and textured finishes, but if you’re looking to spruce up with something extra special, you can create a fully customized design or image.

Whether you’re in need of a full-service detail or you’re looking to customize your car with tinted windows or special tires, the team at 405 Motoring in LA does it all. “Our understanding and knowledge of vehicles derives from our obsessive passion for cars,” says Lin. “We appreciate each and every single customer that supports us, and we always deliver a product or service that reflects our appreciation.”
