The Bubble Gum Pink Door That’s Made Its Way Onto Our Instagram Feeds

The Bubble Gum Pink Door You Must Take a Selfie With

ā€˜That Pink Door,’ is a bubble gum pink, Instagram famous door that would make Barbie herself Ā jealous. The pink door is a focal point on a midcentury modern home in the Indian Canyons neighborhood of Palm Springs. The door has become something of a media sensation in the last few years and has quickly built a following on Instagram and even Pinterest. Visitors and locals alike stop by the house for quick photoshoots or to capture a perfect outfit of the day in front of the door.

The house was originally designed by Colombia native and successful interior designer and photographer Moises Esquenazi. According to The Desert Sun, Esquenazi owned the home from 2004 to 2008.

During that time, Esquenazi and his partner Bryan Graybill renovated the midcentury modern home, and the pink door appeared. The door’s color was inspired by Graybill’s mother, who absolutely loved that bold, cheerful shade of pink. Although Esquenazi no longer owns the home, the new owners chose to keep the iconic pink door intact. They even created an Instagram page that’s dedicated to sharing their home’s unique and eye-catching exterior. The Instagram account @thatpinkdoor has more than 1,000 followers and the hashtag #thatpinkdoor has been used almost 3,000 times.

The bright white exterior of the house contrasts perfectly with the 10-foot bubble gum pink door and the green landscaping. The pink doesn’t stop at the threshold, even the tile in the pool is made up of a beautiful collection of bright and pastel pinks.

That pink door is a must see if in the area. Be sure to snap a photo or just appreciate the unique door that brightens the neighborhood.
