Ideally located between Palm Desert and La Quinta, Indian Wells is the desert escape you’ve been longing for. The city’s small-town charm, superb weather and abundance of outdoor activities makes it a destination everyone under the sun will love. Not only does Indian Wells host the annual world-renowned tennis tournament, the BNP Paribas Open, but it also neighbors Indio’s Polo Fields, where two of the most popular music festivals in the world (Coachella and Stagecoach) are held. 10 a.m. | Head to Brunch at The Pink Cabana

First stop: brunch! At The Pink Cabana at the Sands Hotel & Spa, you can enjoy traditional brunch favorites with a Mediterranean flair, including made-to-order French toast with orange blossom syrup and chantilly cream. The restaurant’s polished brass fixtures and jewel-toned palette of pink and emerald green will make you want to snap some photos while you brunch. But remember—at The Pink Cabana, the phone eats first!



Noon | Make Waves at the HyTides Plunge Waterpark

Head back to the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells to soak up the sun at the HyTides Plunge Waterpark! This recreational pool area features dueling water slides, a splash pad and a lazy river that will beckon you and refuse to let you go. Snag a cocktail or bite from Roadrunner Café to fuel up for your next stop!

2 p.m. | Grab Lunch in The Village at Don Diego’s

Don Diego’s has a long and cherished history in Indian Wells. The full authentic Mexican menu includes hearty combinations, sizzling fajitas, tamales and burritos with an oasis of refreshing beverages to complement your selections. Spacious indoor or outdoor seating surrounding a large water fountain creates the ideal tranquil environment for an al fresco lunch.

3 p.m. | Take to the Skies in a Hot-Air Balloon

5 p.m. | Enjoy Happy Hour at Agave Sunset Lounge

Head to happy hour at Agave Sunset Lounge for an array of delicious small plates, including fish tacos, watermelon shrimp ceviche and sliders. Pair your pick with a cocktail, such as the Agave Paloma, Mezcal Mule or Pomegratini. Agave Sunset is aptly named for the sunset views seen from the restaurant’s outdoor patio.

7 p.m. | “Shots in the Night” at the Indian Wells Golf Resort

The Greater Palm Springs area is a golf mecca, and if you’re looking to tee off, Indian Wells Golf Resort’s “Shots in the Night” offering is a one-of-a-kind experience! This unique nighttime event has taken golf to the next level with lighted recreational courses. Aim for huge, lighted targets with your glowing golf ball! There is also a BBQ food truck on standby, just in case your cravings kick in.

9 p.m. | Stop by The Nest for Late-Night Libations and Live Music
