Wednesday Adams (Jenna Ortega) Told Us Her 7 Facorite Places in la Quinta in This Way Back Wendesday

Get Your Hair Done and Chow Down on Pizza

I’m from La Quinta; It’s a quaint little city near Palm Springs, but no one really knows where it is. It’s pretty hard explaining to people so I tell them that Coachella Fest takes place in the city right next to mine. People understand then! Old Town La Quinta is right in my backyard. It’s a cute little area with restaurants, stores and salons. Pretty much everything you could ever need is in Old Town La Quinta (including ice cream!). Recently, I visited a couple of my favorite shops there and thought I would show you. Obviously I had to change my outfits to match each location because I’m ‘extra.’ I definitely plan on going there more often; it’s so beautiful and I had an awesome time!

Nitroinfusions

This is a really cute ice cream shop! They have a chalkboard wall that’s decorated with colorful paint. The store has adorable popsicles and makes the ice cream on the spot using liquid nitrogen. When they make the ice cream, the nitrogen fills the front desk and makes for a really cool photo. The ice cream looks amazing and tastes amazing—I love this place!

Tarah Jade Boutique

Tarah Jade Boutique has a lot of cute accessories. I’m so bad though, I lose my jewelry all the time so I have to keep coming back! The boutique almost has a Bohemian vibe, which I like. If you need some accessories that go with almost every outfit, I would go here if I were you.

Old Town Coffee Company

I like coming to this coffee shop; it’s very quiet and the hot chocolate is really good. Anyone who has a page theme on Instagram would be obsessed with this place. It’s a cool place to go to when you want to relax and unwind. I come here on my days off.

h2o closet Modern Apothecary

I don’t come to h2o closet as often as I would like, but it’s a fun place to go shopping with friends because of the area it’s in. I’ve gotten a couple great things from here. Plus, the products smell really nice. It’s a pretty laid back place—I like it!

Stuft Pizza Bar & Grill

Love. Pizza. Who doesn’t? Stuft Pizza is soooo good. It’s an awesome restaurant to go to with your family and friends, but I went by myself this time because I wanted the pizza all to myself! I tried to balance my meal out with a salad on the side, but let’s be honest, the pizza looks prettier.

Solano’s Bistro

I have only heard really good things about Solano’s Bistro. They have a wide range of food there, so it might be a smart choice if you have a picky eater in your family!

Alankara Aveda Lifestyle Salon

Filming and doing a bunch of photoshoots is hard on my hair, so I go to the salon a lot to get my ends trimmed. The people who work here are awesome and always do a great job. I also go here to get my nails painted and to buy new beauty products. They have a lot of products to choose from. I’ll definitely be back there soon!

Certified Farmers’ Market

Certified Farmers’ Market is adorable. I like going there to pick up fresh fruit and to smell the flowers. La Quinta’s a small town, so you almost always run into someone you know. They play good music and everyone is really nice. If you’re in La Quinta on a Sunday you should check it out!

Q&A With Jenna Ortega by Makena Hale

Makena Hale: What are some of your favorite things to do in Palm Springs?

Jenna Ortega: I like to go to the movie theater. We have a Wet ’n’ Wild here so we like going to the waterpark a lot and [going to] pool parties with my friends.

MH: Is there a certain person who inspired you to become an actress?

JO: The person who inspired me to become an actress was Dakota Fanning and I remember I saw her in Man on Fire and I thought she was the coolest thing ever, especially since she was [the same] age in that movie as I was at the time.

MH: What’s your goal for the next 10 years?

JO: I want to be a leading lady in feature films and I want to win an Oscar. As I get older, I want to get into directing and writing and producing and stuff like that, so I can work behind the camera.

Rising Star: You may recognize Jenna from “Stuck in The Middle,” “Jane the Virgin” and “Elena of Avalor,” but make sure to check her out in her upcoming film Saving Flora.
