The American Express 2022 will be played at the iconic PGA WEST’s Stadium Course Nicklaus Tournament Course and La Quinta Country Club. And despite no in-person attendance last year, this year’s tournament is sure to keep all attendees on the edge of their seats. Phil Mickelson, the 45-time PGA TOUR winner and World Golf Hall of Famer, will serve as tournament host, headlining the event and competing against 156 of the world’s best golfers, including recent U.S. Ryder Cup winners Tony Finau and Scottie Scheffler and 2021 tournament winner Si Woo Kim.

“These playing commitments from Tony, Scottie and Si Woo in joining our tournament host, Phil, go a long way towards shaping a strong professional field that resonates favorably with our loyal and knowledgeable golf fans,” says Pat McCabe, Executive Director of The American Express.

In addition to all the excitement, The American Express Concert Series is also returning for its fifth year (since 2017) with two spectacular musical acts! Los Angeles pop rock band Maroon 5 will open the Concert Series after the second-round play on Friday, Jan. 21, with renowned American country musician and songwriter Brad Paisley taking the stage after the tournament’s third round on Saturday, Jan. 22. The PGA WEST’s Stadium Course driving range makes for a stellar open-air concert venue under the desert stars. Ground tickets for Friday’s second round and Saturday’s third round are $125 per day and include admission to the tournament and post-round concert. However, attendees have the opportunity to upgrade to a ‘Champions Club’ ticket ($350 per day) for the concert days (Jan. 21-22). These tickets allow patrons to experience the PGA TOUR golf action while enjoying a hosted breakfast, lunch, snack and full bar in the Champions Club, plus preferred parking and exclusive concert viewing access near the stage.
