Bear Creek Trailhead is one of the best in the area—take the nature trail from La Quinta Cove, and an oasis at the end of the 4.8-mile trail is your reward. This hike can be strenuous at times (but overall moderate), so prepare to sweat! Once you arrive at the destination, panoramic views unfold in every direction, and on a clear day, you can see the Salton Sea.

The flat terrain and designated bike paths present endless possibilities, or you can choose to venture off-road into the canyons. We would be remiss not to mention one of La Quinta’s most prominent attractions: golf. Home to PGA West and more than 20 other courses, the city offers enough fairways to fit any player’s skill level or age.
