At the Lincoln Experience Center at Fashion Island on Jan. 9, Newport Beach Restaurant Week kicked off with a sneak peak of what to expect during these delicious next few weeks. Newport Beach Restaurant Week is an annual event showcasing prix-fixe menus from the best of the best restaurants in Newport Beach. This year, 73 restaurants are participating with 10 of them being brand new to the event. This is the 14th year of Newport Beach Restaurant Week and it is promising to be the most exciting year yet.

A variety of different restaurants sampled their specialty dish among a few very special guests at the tasting event. The mayor of Newport Beach, Will O’Neill, officially welcomed the start of Newport Beach Restaurant Week. Guests sampled tasty bites from Buddha’s Favorite, Farmhouse at Roger’s Garden, Fable & Spirit, CdM Restaurant & Bar, Provenance, Sgt. Pepperoni’s Pizza Store, Tavern House Kitchen + Bar and Coliseum Pool & Grill. Foodie photos were taken, wine was sipped and speeches were made commemorating the event.

For the first time, Newport Beach Restaurant Week and Second Harvest Food Bank are partnering to create “Dine With a Difference.” Diners can donate to Second Harvest to help local families with hunger.

Newport Beach Restaurant Week lasts from Jan. 13-26. Brunch, lunch and dinner are all availableand reservations can be made in advance. This week is a great opportunity to try something new, indulge in your favorite restaurant and support the local community. NBRW
