Chef Tanya’s Kitchen offers the best vegan food in the desert, hands down! I keep it simple and order the grilled cheese sandwich and Caesar salad. The Palm Springs location is constantly packed, so it’s worth the drive to visit the new Palm Desert location to avoid the crowds.

Mid Mod Frenzy
The 330 homes in the Vista Las Palmas neighborhood are total midcentury eye candy. Architect William Krisel’s iconic butterfly-roof homes mix with the “Swiss Miss” A-frame homes by Charles Dubois. It’s also home to the famous “House of Tomorrow,” where Elvis and Priscilla Presley spent their 1967 honeymoon!

Crystal Fantasy on Palm Canyon Dr. has the best selection of gemstones and one-of-a-kind gifts that you won’t find anywhere else. I bought a huge chunk of citrine from here to keep near my desk for an added boost of creative energy!
Moroccan Escape
The Sands Hotel and Spa in Indian Wells is the ultimate boutique hotel. The pink facade is packed with Moroccan-inspired design details that interior designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard incorporated. It’s stylish and peaceful—truly the perfect hideaway! Plus, it’s located next to The Nest, the best place in town to grab dinner and drinks and people-watch. Bonus: the walls are packed with portraits of celebrity visitors!
