Springtime is glow-up season—the time to pamper your body and swap out your winter skincare routine for a set of refreshing rituals. We all need to show ourselves a little more love, and what better time to splurge on a little self-care than at the start of spring? Integrating fresh scents into their treatments, Spa La Quinta has dropped a brand-new collection of vernal delights. Seasonal treatments range from their Springtime Glow Facial to the Spring Is in the Hair treatment. Their Spring Awakening Citrus Blossom Body Therapy will soothe and quench your winter skin with a healing remedy of unique hydrotherapy, including a steam bath and scalp massage. Spa La Quinta promises a heavenly dose of springtime pampering!

Tennis + Pickleball

We’ve all seen the viral TikTok trends of pickleball players taking over the social media landscape, leading to a new obsession with this popular paddle sport. La Quinta Resort & Club hasn’t missed a beat with this trend—the property has eight outdoor pickleball courts, making it one of the best destinations for pickleball! If you’re new to the sport, the club has a professional staff of certified IPTPA professionals who are eager to show you the ropes. However, the classics never go out of style, and certainly not with all 21 of this resort’s tournament-style tennis courts, designed to take your tennis match to a whole new level. Tennis clinics are held on weekend mornings—the perfect way to get in an hour of sunshine and movement!

Alfresco Dining

We love a good foodie spotlight moment, especially when seasonal fare and live music happen under the sun and stars. La Quinta Resort & Club offers five on-site dining venues that showcase flavors from around the globe. Reminiscing on your last trip to Oaxaca? Go beyond guac and grab some authentic Mexican fare from Adobe Grill, like ceviche, pozole and enmoladas. Craving some contemporary California cuisine? Morgan’s in the Desert is the resort’s signature dining concept that incorporates the bounty of the Coachella Valley into each dish—try the Jidori chicken with marsala sauce or the crab cakes with papaya aioli. If you’re in the mood for comfort food, snag a table at Twenty6 for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We love to kick start our morning with the smoked salmon Benedict and end our day with a grapefruit spritz, burrata toast and crispy Brussels sprouts.

Guests will find all the morning essentials at The Marketplace, while Center Court Cafe caters to poolside and courtside loungers alike. Scap La Quinta Resort & Club’s web app (from the QR code on your room key, keycard packet, property map or other touchpoints around the resort) to indulge in on-site meal delivery throughout the grounds. This serves as a “digital concierge,” making your stay seamless!

Climate Controlled Pools

Cool off by taking a dip in one of the resort’s 41 pools! The resort knows comfort, setting each pool to that perfect in-between temperature for a comfortable swim. Their main pool is ideal for lounging on a spring break vacation, with private cabanas, a hot spa and a cozy outdoor fireplace. Nestled within the flower gardens and Spanish-style casitas, the Plunge pool (which is for guests 21+) is reserved for poolside cocktails and springtime tunes. If it’s an uninterrupted hour of leisure you’re after, reserve one of their luxury suites that feature their own private yards with private pools and hot spas.

Bicycle Rentals

We’re all in favor of maintaining those health goals on a post-winter getaway. La Quinta Resort & Club makes it easy to cruise the picturesque trails in style with a selection of rent-ready trek bikes and town cruisers from the Tennis Pro Shop. With a price point of $40 for 90 minutes or $125 for the day, you don’t have to be a die-hard fitness fanatic to enjoy this luxury amenity. The resort is central to a seven-mile scenic route, with cacti, wildflowers and dramatic mountain views, and even closer to Old Town La Quinta. You can spend a day cycling through town with picturesque backdrops and stop for some shopping on the same excursion.

Hiking

Hot girl hike, anyone? Grab a coffee or matcha from The Marketplace, lace up your sneakers, and hit the trailheads scattered around this desert playground. Options exist for all levels—from a novice stroll in Cove Oasis to an intermediate trek in Palm Oasis and an expert hike to Lake Cahuilla. The La Quinta Cove trails lead hikers across the valley floor, eventually arriving at the lake—a sparkling man-made reservoir. If you’re up for an all-day excursion, take a short drive in either direction to experience water features and decorated canyons. Tahquitz and Indian Canyons promise a glimpse of seasonal waterfalls in the midst of desert palms and rippling streams. If you’re a cardio queen, Painted Canyons is where you’ll want to head. They don’t call it Ladder Canyon for nothing, as this route requires some serious parkour skills to traverse the ropes and ladders known on this canyon trek.

Fortunately, La Quinta Resort & Club has you covered with a curated collection of trendsetting shops on the resort grounds. Say goodbye to winter and hello to spring with your new perfect desert-chic fit found at Audrey’s & Citrus, featuring luxe labels like Trina Turk, Johnny Was and Ramy Brook. Alternatively, broaden your horizons and hit the town’s local upmarket boutiques in Old Town La Quinta, on El Paseo or at the Desert Hills Premium Outlets—all located within the Coachella Valley. You’ll find everything from designer brands like Tom Ford and Gucci to artisan home decor and wellness essentials at these upscale outlets.
