Good Clean Fun

Good Clean Fun is the perfect place to expand your palate and develop an appreciation for natural and biodynamic wine. This one-of-a-kind restaurant is both a wine shop and a restaurant, meaning you can sit down for a paired meal on their funky outdoor patio or simply grab a bottle to-go. According to owner Ian Asbury, “We’re an all-in-one operation. We exclusively source from and support purveyors that are in line with sustainability, regenerative practices and seasonality as much as possible. Sustainably-made wine tastes better, the human body absorbs its nutrients better and it’s better for the planet.”

With an original location in Chicago, Girl + The Goat by “Top Chef”-winner Stephanie Izard is an open and airy restaurant that features an industrial flair. This restaurant has been generating quite the buzz due to innovative dishes like their sticky glazed pork shank and shrimp and crispy greens. “When trying to figure out which city we were going to open our second location, this neighborhood is what really sold us,” says Chef Izard. “This area has really evolved and grown, but it’s amazing to see that there is still so much to come.”

If you’re looking for something fancier or more romantic, Nick + Stef’s Steakhouse serves up premium steaks that are actually dry-aged in house, giving them some of the richest flavoring possible. Though they have a lovely patio, the booths inside are very cozy, and the dim lighting creates an intimate setting. Voted “Best Steakhouse in California” by Food Network, Nick + Stef’s is a great pre-Staples Center spot for a special occasion.

Pilot is another rooftop restaurant that you will definitely want to visit while the sun is still out! This airy and open Mediterranean-inspired restaurant presents a beautiful outdoor atmosphere with light, cushioned chairs and dainty umbrellas. Be sure to order their fried calamari and red pepper hummus with one of their craft cocktails! We recommend the Stone Fruit Margarita or a classic Negroni.
