Welcome to Newport Beach, The RealReal! That’s right, this luxury resale shop now has a gorgeous brick and mortar shop at Lido Marina Village. The RealReal is the world’s largest online marketplace for authenticated, consigned luxury goods. Shop your favorite designers IRL at a fraction of the price, or sell items of your own with the help of their luxury experts. Items are curated by The RealReal team and feature a variety of brands like Gucci, Chanel, Cartier and so many more.
This fashion lover’s favorite store offers in-person consignment appointments, curbside drop-off, women’s and men’s clothing, handbags, shoes, accessories, fine jewelry and art. “Our Newport Beach customer transcends trends, instead opting for refined luxury with a twist––think classic Hermes Kelly bags in a pop of color, which also command strong resale value (held 92% of its original retail price on average last year). We’ve also seen that they love to dress up, and we expect dresses––Gucci especially––to be the hero piece for her wardrobe,” explains Sasha Skoda, senior director of women’s merchandising. Every single thing in the store is for sale (furniture and decor included), meaning yes, you can actually buy that gorgeous table you’re eyeing inside.
One of the best parts about The RealReal is that every item sold is truly unique. While the stores feature a limited amount of items on display, their website boasts thousands of items that are also available to shop––and new items are added daily.
Other IRL stores can be found across the country in cities like Brooklyn, Miami, San Francisco and Chicago. “Our brick-and-mortar spaces go beyond shopping to create an elevated experience, bringing experts like gemologists into the store to offer information and guidance, from the history of a piece to considerations before buying to resale value,” says Dan Ocampo, senior director of retail and events.
