“The Hot Wing King” at Cygnet Theatre

Get ready for a fiery blend of comedy and heart at the Cygnet Theatre. “The Hot Wing King,” a Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Katori Hall, follows a group of friends prepping for Memphis’ Hot Wing Festival. But as tensions rise in the kitchen, deeper themes of identity, masculinity and chosen family take center stage. Directed by Kian Kline-Chilton, this play brings the heat in more ways than one.

The Muse: Spring Awakening

A new era of The Muse is blooming—and you’re invited. This month’s installment, “Spring Awakening,” is a celebration of rebirth, creative expression and community. Part art show, part fashion collective, part music fest, The Muse is a free-flowing gathering at Quartyard where artists, vendors and guests are encouraged to interpret the theme through movement, style and self-expression. Expect good vibes, bold fashion and live performances from local artists like Virr, Saxsouljah and Jehlad.

San Diego EarthFest

Celebrate Earth Day 2025 in a big way at EarthFest in Balboa Park! This free, eco-conscious celebration features 100+ vendors offering planet-friendly products, plant-based bites, sustainable fashion and interactive demos. Jam out at the music stage with sets from Jesse London, Sierra Marin & Roots Ascension and Ruff Diss. Plus, you can bring your pup—it’s pet-friendly!

The Lobby Grand Opening Party

Oceanside’s newest tiki oasis is throwing one heck of a luau! Join The Lobby for an afternoon of island vibes, tropical sips and live entertainment at their Grand Opening Party. Tickets include a welcome mai tai, rum tastings and a Hawaiian-inspired plate lunch (kalua pork, mac salad, huli huli sauce—the works). 55th Chicano Park Day

Now in its 55th year, Chicano Park Day in San Diego honors the rich cultural history of Barrio Logan with a full day of vibrant festivities. Enjoy traditional Aztec dance performances, live music, classic lowrider displays, cultural vendors, food and art beneath the iconic mural-covered bridge. It’s a moving tribute to community, activism and heritage. Note: This San Diego event is free and family-friendly!
