The nearest I’ve found to a British pub is Father’s Office on Montana Avenue. I’ve had some great evenings there over the years, and they have the best bar staff. Get there early to avoid disappointment!

Having spent so much time in New Zealand (where coffee is like a religion), I take it very seriously! So depending on where I am, my go-to places are any of the Cafe Luxxe shops or Intelligentsia.

People think theatre in LA is limited, but the Broad Stage in Santa Monica is a fantastic space with world-class productions.
Beach, Please Graham McTavish
One of my favorite beaches is at Point Dume in Malibu. It’s quieter, and you have to search for it. You’re rewarded with a great wooden staircase to the beach. Pop along to Paradise Cove for lunch.

Can’t We All Just Getty-long?
I first went to the Getty Center when it opened… I was going to perform a Van Gogh play… I’ve always loved the Getty. Its grandeur and its architectural statement never cease to thrill. It’s a special place.
Take a Hike
Hiking is abundant in the Los Angeles area, but I’ve always reserved a special place for Malibu Creek State Park. I think that’s because “M*A*S*H” was filmed there. It’s a great, accessible, family-friendly park area with some great hiking.
