From now through the end of January, you can use this package to get a waived pet fee and pet snacks, as well as a mat, water bowl and pet bed. If you’re coming with kiddos, the Family Fun package is the way to go. You’ll get a $100 credit to 7 Mile Kitchen, the resort’s poolside restaurant known for its woodfired pizzas, plus a basket of arts and crafts activities for the kids and a $100 credit to the Ocean Pearl Spa (because family vacation doesn’t mean no “me time”). Another option is the S’mores and More package, which also comes with $100 to 7 Mile Kitchen and includes a reserved fire pit and s’mores kit as well.

We’d say the main selling point of this place is the free gelato, but the private entrance to Legoland doesn’t hurt either. If you’re coming here to visit the amusement park, there’s no better place to stay. And for the days you’re not riding the Coastersaurus or exploring Fun Town, there’s plenty of fun to be had at the hotel’s heated pools (yes, there’s a waterslide). As for the rooms, they’re as comfy and luxurious as you’d expect from a Marriott hotel, with plush bedding, seaside views and flat screen TVs for the ultimate room service movie night. Just next door you’ll find The Crossings at Carlsbad, a sprawling 18-hole championship golf course with stunning views and a challenging layout, perfect for practicing your long drives and putting. 3 | Seasonal Culinary Specials

We already mentioned the poolside paradise that is 7 Mile Kitchen, but now we’re going to dive into the details (pun intended). Their pizzas are made with fresh housemade dough, and they have unique and delicious options like the Truffle Tartufo, made with wild mushrooms and truffle cream sauce, and the Prosciutto and Brussels, made with roasted garlic, gruyere and honey balsamic. Aside from pizza, Chef Jason Luke is also known for his burgers, ranging from your classic cheeseburger to a salmon burger with arugula, dill mayonnaise, cucumber and lemon. Can’t decide? They even have a cheeseburger pizza so you can get the best of both worlds. During football season, head over for Sunday Night Football and grab pizza, caesar salad and wings for four for just $65. And if you’re there during the week, be sure to stop by for Wine Wednesday to get half-off a bottle of wine from 5 p.m. to close.

4 | Winter Wellness at Ocean Pearl Spa
