1 | We Wish Our House Looked This Cool

Owners Andrew and Raquel Dorsey, along with design firm Haus of Design, have created a space that feels like a modern Coastal Californian home. There are plenty of Instagram-worthy accents—the neon “Hey Good Looking” sign, the plethora of wicker chandeliers and succulents that will have your camera out before you are seated.

2 | A Team With Tons of Talent Social Huntington Beach

Talented Executive Chef (and Huntington Beach native) Jeffrey Boullt has returned to the team, along with ex-Pacific Hideaway Executive Chef Wyatt Lash to create a menu of California Coastal Cuisine. “Our goal was to create a spot the community could be proud of,” Chef Boullt said, and first appearances show that they are well on their way to achieving that goal.

3 | The “Goodwill Huntington” Social Huntington Beach

Bar Director Grayson Diercksmeier has produced a menu of cleverly named cocktails that will rarely having you ordering your “usual.”  The Goodwill Huntington (Amass gin, Aperol, egg white and Cocchi Rosa) features excellent presentation and a great mix of flavors that had us craving seconds.  The #Basic (Reyka Vodka, aloe, cucumber and lemon-lime cordial) was anything but its namesake and was the refreshing drink we wish we could pull off at home.

4 | Feels Like a Beach Bonfire Social Huntington Beach

A patio area that seemed like an afterthought in this restaurant’s previous iteration is now the place you will want to sit.  Oversized chairs, patio bar service, a large gas fireplace and games like cornhole and Jenga make this restaurant a great place for large-group happy hour and brunch.

5 | Family-Sized Comfort Food

Most of the portions we tried were easily shareable.  We especially loved the seemingly family sized fish and chips and the massive Cali Cauli Crunch Roll.

Erik Hale is the visionary and publisher behind LOCALE Magazine. He launched the magazine in 2010, wanting to give the community of OC a premiere lifestyle magazine that knew all the native knowledge behind OC. “Six years ago Ashley and I sat at a table scratching the name LOCALE (among some other names) onto a sheet of paper,” says Erik, “coming up with story ideas and basically dreaming. Everything we imagined has happened and we have been blessed with so much more. I am so grateful as we start another year for my family, my two wonderful children, my health, our amazing writers, designers and photographers, our advertising partners and you.”
