Rooftop pools and restaurants dot the City of Angels, making it easy to find your favorite spot for an elevated day or evening out. From tropical oases with live DJs to dapper hideaways perched high above the hustle and bustle of the city, these Los Angeles rooftops serve as the perfect summer playgrounds.

The Coco Club

Located on the rooftop of the new Sonder The Beacon, The Coco Club boasts beautiful beach views alongside tropical cocktails. Upon walking into the main bar area, guests are greeted by velvet green booths, pink barstools and banana leaves galore, but once you walk out onto the rooftop deck, you’re transported to a seaside oasis that is perfect for a sunset sipper. The pink bistro-style stools line the edges of the roof, but there are also more cozy corner booths and couches where you can kick back with a fruity cocktail or glass of rosé. Tiki-inspired beverages incorporate refreshing ingredients like passion fruit and hibiscus, but you can also opt for a classic dirty martini if you prefer savory over sweet.

Videre is a chic rooftop bar and restaurant at the Kimpton Hotel Wilshire. The surrounding city views create a sleek setting, with the Hollywood Hills serving as the ultimate backdrop. Situated 34 floors above the city, La Lo La Rooftop spans 4,000 square feet across the top of the AC Hotel Downtown LA. The buzzy atmosphere is brought to life with desert plants, overhead string lights and live musical performances. Though you’ll find plenty of people standing and dancing on the weekends, there are also plenty of couches and barstools where guests can take a load off while sipping a frozen margarita or La Lo La’s signature sangria. The food menu revolves around traditional Spanish tapas, with standout dishes such as the pan con tomate, bacon-wrapped Medjool dates and grilled steak skewers. Though it may be tempting to fill up on garlic shrimp and manchego, try to save room for the churros.
