Looking for a new holiday tradition? Indian Wells Winterfest is bringing joyous fun and holiday cheer from Dec. 18 to Jan. 1! Part of Greater Palm Springs, Indian Wells is known for its epic mountain views, swaying palm trees and championship golf courses. If you’re looking to enjoy the festivities without having to deal with the cold, Indian Wells Winterfest is the perfect place to get in the holiday spirit. Simply walk from each holiday happening to the next as you experience the very best of the season at this festive and family-friendly event. Here’s what to look forward to this year!

Ice Skating

Starting Nov. 18, visitors and locals alike will be able to soar across a spacious ice rink at the Indian Wells Golf Resort. Take in the sweeping mountain views and twinkling lights as you twirl and glide across the ice. Each ice skating session is 45 minutes, giving you plenty of time to get your skate on before checking out the other holiday happenings at Winterfest. Sessions are $20 for adults and $15 for kids, and skate rentals are $10 across the board. Whether you choose to visit during the day and skate under sunny skies or at night under the desert stars, you won’t want to miss this perfect activity for the season. Though kids are encouraged to come, children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

 

Holiday-Inspired Golf Experience

If golf is the key to your heart, you’ve got some holiday luck on your side. In true Indian Wells fashion, Winterfest will feature a few holiday-inspired golf experiences that are fun for the whole family. For an action-packed event, visit the driving range at the Indian Wells Golf Resort and check out the brand-new Top Tracer Driving Range Experience. This experience can be enjoyed by a group of up to six people and is $65 per person. Nearby at the putting course, Winterfest visitors can also experience Shots in the Night and enjoy a game of golf after dark. Whether you’re a professional putter or simply looking for a lighthearted family affair, everyone will enjoy playing across the seven dedicated greens. The putting course can also accommodate up to six people for $65 per person. Even after the holidays, Shots in the Night will continue until May 31, 2023.

Holiday Happenings at Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa

Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa is the premier hotel for families looking to enjoy some fun in the sun all year long. From the massive waterpark to the incredible spa, Hyatt Regency Indian Wells has something for every traveler. Those that choose to visit during Winterfest also have the added pleasure of experiencing some of the holiday activities taking place from Dec. 1-30. Tuesdays will feature $5 cookie making along with visits from Santa, followed by a family-friendly holiday film. Make s’mores on Wednesday before partaking in ornament decorating on Thursday along with a throwback holiday movie. On Fridays, watch more holiday favorites and decorate gingerbread cookies before hitting the pool or venturing off to the Winterfest skating rink or golf course.

Festivities at Renaissance Esmeralda

The nearby Renaissance Esmeralda is the perfect place to unwind after a long day of Winterfest activities. Since the resort is participating in Winterfest, family-friendly activities are set to take place on various days throughout the week. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, kids can indulge in the festive hot chocolate bar and make s’mores while the adults can enjoy a holiday cocktail at the Punch Bowl Ritual. On Fridays, live music and cookie decorating gets added to the mix, kicking off the most spirited of holiday weekends. Finally, Saturday guests will get to meet the big man himself at Breakfast with Santa, followed by a holiday train ride that the little ones will love. Renaissance Esmeralda’s Winterfest promotion is running from now through Dec. 31, giving you plenty of time to plan your stay!
