Start to Finish

I love being a part of creating a restaurant from conception to completion. Forming a brand and conceptualizing a space are some of my favorite parts of this industry and role. Having a blank canvas and being able to use my creativity to create something from scratch is so rewarding.

Style Inspo

I am a chameleon when it comes to fashion. I either am the lowest of low maintenance or I am in a meat dress a la Lady Gaga. I pull a lot of daily style inspo from streetwear. One part of me loves Kendall Jenner or Kaia Gerber post-NYFW on the streets of the Lower East Side—their perfectly fitted denim, easy white tee, moto boots and a clean face. The other side of me wants Met Gala drama: sheer tops and boots up to my elbows.

Self-Care Stop

Lavande in La Jolla is one of the most unique spots in all of San Diego, functioning as both a wellness/spiritual boutique and holistic cafe. The store/cafe curates gifts and food on a conscious level of living. I will go in to pick up a rose quartz crystal and matcha latte all in one stop. They also have a full calendar of events that range from sound healing and kids meditation to new moon cacao ceremonies.

Get Juiced

Juice Wave is a tiny little joint in Mission Beach. Recently, this has become one of my favorite stops during the week. My kids love the acai bowls, and I usually go for the fresh-pressed juices (celery is my go-to). The owner gets the majority of her produce from the farmers market. Helping local farmers and locally owned restaurants: that’s a win-win for me!

Explorin’ O’side

With stores like Badlands Vintage and The Rising Co., Oceanside has become a new little gold mine for me to explore. This super-walkable town not only has great places to stop for a bite and coffee, but it also has amazing accommodation options like the breathtaking new Seabird Resort.

See You at the Spa

I’m sure most San Diegans have heard of Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa or their very well-known cocktail bar, The Pony Room, but I think the Spa at Rancho Valencia deserves a spotlight. Not only are the services superb every time I go, but the amenities (from their homemade banana bread to their cold plunge pool) and customer service are worth every penny. Pro tip: if you make an appointment at the spa, you get a free full-day pass to their adult spa pool.
