This Brother-Sister Shop Pairs Viral Ice Cream With Arcade Vibes
Garden Grove has a new obsession, and it comes with a side of nostalgia. Claws and Cream is exactly what it sounds like. Ice cream. Claw machines. And a viral flavor that’s breaking the internet one scoop at a time.
The brother-sister duo behind this family-owned shop at 9757 Garden Grove Blvd, Ste 1, built something refreshingly different. Think hanging flowers, plenty of seating, and arcade games lining the walls. It’s part dessert bar, part throwback hangout. But the real star? That chili oil ice cream.

The viral flavor pairs Madagascar vanilla bean soft serve with sesame brittle and Lao Gan Ma chili oil. Yes, the iconic Chinese condiment. The result is sweet, savory, and surprisingly balanced. The peanut brittle adds crunch. The chili oil brings heat without overpowering. It’s the kind of flavor combo that sounds wild but tastes genius.
Every soft serve here is made in-house. That includes the pandan paradise, a creamy pandan coconut base topped with fresh strawberries, toasted coconut flakes, and strawberry syrup. It’s lighter, fruitier, and perfect for anyone who wants something more refreshing.

The space itself is designed for lingering. Grab a cone, try your luck at a claw machine, or settle in with friends. The vibe is casual, colorful, and completely Instagrammable.
Claws and Cream is open Monday through Thursday from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m., and Friday through Sunday from 12 p.m. to midnight. The shop also serves ceremonial matcha, swirls, and cookies.

This isn’t just another ice cream shop. It’s a full experience. And in a world of same-same dessert spots, that’s exactly what Orange County needs.
