The newest spot to eat, stay, and play is a pedestrian- and bike-friendly hub at Venice, Washington, and National Blvd. This central gathering place brings locals and visitors together with a mix of retail and indoor-outdoor dining options. Highlights include the LA debut of iconic California brand Equator Coffees and a spacious Los Angeles Ale Works tasting room.

The Shay

Find The Shay, the city’s newest boutique hotel (and one of the few in this neighborhood!) at Ivy Station. Inside, guests will encounter an inviting lobby that doubles as a contemporary coworking space, as well as a cocktail bar and a game room. The property also hosts Culver City’s first rooftop pool bar—Celestina. The Mexican-inspired dining concept is helmed by Michelin-starred chef Danny Grant and offers delicious food alongside unparalleled views of the city and a cotton candy Los Angeles sunset.
Hi-lo Liquor Market
Hi-lo serves as an approachable and inclusive spot for visitors and locals to find the perfect liquid to say “cheers.” From seeking the ideal daily craft brew to planning a splurge on a top-shelf celebration, this shop offers it all. Inside, shoppers will find a clean and cheerful space filled with natural light and a seemingly endless selection of bottles, as well as a selection of gourmet snacks. Stay awhile and enjoy a tasting at The Counter, where weekly tastings, wine by the glass and beer are offered. Tastings are announced weekly on their Instagram.

Wise Sons Jewish Deli
Making its way down to SoCal from the Bay Area, this authentic eatery serves up traditional Jewish comfort food. Order any sando on a freshly made bagel that is boiled in malt-inflected water, or get one on authentic Jewish rye. Try the famous pastrami, which is brined in a secret blend of spices before being smoked for nearly seven hours over real hickory wood, and make sure to order a side of matzo ball soup.

Whether it’s the flavor, the presentation or both, dining at n/naka (run by one of the most notable chefs in the industry) is a feast for all senses. This restaurant is rather unassuming from the outside and is tucked in the middle of a quiet neighborhood. But inside, visitors will encounter an intimate setup of tables with a delicious selection of food. Reservations can be hard to come by, but if you can snag one, the experience is worth it.

Pasta Sisters

This family-owned Italian restaurant and fresh pasta shop features ample outdoor seating in the Helms Bakery complex. It’s a casual affair, where diners order at the counter and then grab a seat. The menu offers a delectable lineup of pasta, including a selection of original dishes and weekly specials. The homemade gnocchi is a must-try, as well as the Carbonara which is a special dish that’s only available on Sundays.
Platform LA

This uber-trendy outdoor boutique retail center is housed in a repurposed and refurbished industrial building. Today, visitors will find fitness studios, offices, shops and restaurants. Grab a latte at Blue Bottle Coffee for a quick morning pick-me-up, or end the day with a craft cocktail at Margot, an elevated rooftop restaurant and bar. For dessert, stop by the first scoop shop location in LA of Van Leeuwen’s, where all of the homemade ice cream is made from scratch!

This reimagined historic building turned boutique hotel is located just off the main street in downtown Culver City and is tucked away in a spot close enough to the action to enjoy the atmosphere but far enough away to get some rest after a day (or night) out. The property mixes art deco and vintage fixtures with modern design features to create an ambiance that’s both bright and welcoming.
